No, we try to refrain from any roof travel until were performing the actual repair/restoration.
We put a ladder up to the eve, gutter line where accessible, and work our way around the roof system in this manner. While inspecting the slate, snow guards, valleys and flashing details, etc. we’re taking pictures of anything we would like to share with you. If our proposal suggests replacing 50 pieces etc., etc. you’ll receive pictures to help you understand why. We then e-mail you both the pictures with written descriptions on them, as well both a summary of our findings along with the proposal should there be any work required/proposed.
Yes, inspections are free of charge within our service area.
It’s not necessary, but can be helpful if your experiencing any sort of leaking situation…at that point access to the interior of the home is helpful. However, a quick description of where the leak is located is typically all we need to find the source of the leak from the outside/roof etc.
