I have been coming here for coffee twice a week for the past 5 years. After seeing a few of the reviews on here, I want to step in to say that the service I have gotten here has been consistently great. Not buddy-buddy "fake smile and make you feel special" corporate congeniality; actual service by real people who live in our increasingly financially difficult neighborhood. The drinks are always made well and to order. The service is fast - faster than the big green monster down the street (you know who I mean) and I have discovered more impressive art from local artists on the walls than I'm many local designated galleries. I'd say if you aren't feeling special because your baristas were just making your drink and getting you on with your day (hopefully to more important matters) then that may be a problem to be addressed in your mirror at home. I could go to any one of the 5 closest places for coffee in my neighborhood. I go here. If you wish to be fawned over by corporate automatons, go to Nordstrom. If you want great coffee from a hardworking staff who are fighting to make a future for themselves, I suggest coming here. Buy some art worth hanging. Make better use of your time. Get in, get out and enjoy excellent coffee! Also, tip better. These are tougher times than pun your side of the counter that you realize.

Coffee was excellent and the burrito we ordered was much better than expected. The only downside was the female batista who came across quite rude. We were masked up and have vaccination cards but we weren't immediately asked to show them until we sat down. We were happy to do so but didn't appreciate her curt request and scowl. Customer service goes a long way in my book.
