Went to Murray and other locations and they have open the group fitness and Orem has a punching bag, they had no classes and I asked why was closed, sometimes people can use it, I ask if I can use it and they denied access, bad customer service and attitude,

EDIT: The review below has been addressed a second time and a more suitable resolution has been reached. I am thankful for the employees at EOS for being willing to work with me. The facility itself is a decent place to workout. I signed up during an open house on 7/28/22 at the Kaysville location where a fitness manager, Mike, was being very persistent trying to convince me to get personal training sessions. We worked out a compromise where I could attend an initial training session at a discount, and if I didn't feel like it was worth the time and money I could talk to him and he could cancel and refund me. What was on the contract but what he didn't verbally explain, is that I had three days to get out of the contract or else I had to pay for 6 months. I had to cancel my first PT session on 7/29/22 due to a family emergency and was contacted on 8/8/22 and 8/15/22 by the personal trainer trying to schedule our visits. I was distracted at work so I forgot to respond, not knowing the urgency I would need to have in order to cancel. He informed me that I would need to get in contact with Mike, and so I called the Kaysville location once, and West Jordan two times so Mike could follow through on his deal, but he has never called back. I got a call from a different district fitness manager who clarified their contract policy, and as it turns out, Mike didn't have the power to do anything outside of the 3 day grace period. This district manager was gracious enough to end my contract before the 6 month obligation, but the fact that Mike didn't clarify that I needed to make a decision in three days rather than just after I did my first session cost me $300+ that I don't have. Whether Mike was intentionally deceptive or not, I do not know. But, I feel it should be a common courtesy to clearly and verbally explain the cancellation policy, especially to people who have a similar situation to mine. I am thankful to the personal trainer and the other district fitness manager for helping to work out a compromise so I didn't have to pay the nearly $1000 for something I didn't want. I understand I bear some blame for not reading the contract thoroughly, as is common practice not to do, but I do feel taken advantage of. If you choose to go to this gym, I recommend being very clear about your intentions and not compromising on some sort of service that they try and up-sale you on.
