called to see if they could help get a sick kitty off our porch that's been hanging around. told us we had to catch it ourselves and take it to them.

Everyone was really friendly and helpful. It was just sad to see so many animals needing homes.

Update: there is something wrong with their phone system or they are lying to me. I called to schedule a surrender of a cat I rescued a few months ago and her kittens now that they are 12 weeks and can be on their own. They told me to call Tuesday at 1 pm when the week I’m requesting opened up. I called twice. No one picked up. I called later that day or the next and they said they were all full and no one had called “no calls until 1:30, I was sitting right here.” I’m thinking the system is messed up because they don’t open until 1:30 and I’m thinking the phones are set to not ring or accept messages until that time. Or like I said, they lied to me. I called 10 times today between 1 and 1:32 after they opened and got no answer. They seem to be a good, clean operation. The dogs and cats seem as happy as can be. I wish I had time to volunteer to help play with the animals and get them more cage breaks, but I’m not at that point in my life.

Hours of operation have been updated. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Yes food and blankets are very much needed at the shelter
I know you can volunteer to walk the Dogs ,my son and I used to do that they really loved going on the parkway at the old shelter im sure the new shelter would let people give the animals some love,
Sometimes they don't update online as fast as they get and give animals. Go down there. Everyone is super nice.
$40-$55 depending on spay/neuter, microchip and vaccines.
Animal services are not same as animal control
$150.00 includes a $40 voucher to use toward spay/neuter, which, by law, MUST be done, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, leash, collar and goody bag.
I would call them to ask
Weber County is slammed with tons of animals being turned in & will only do the spay/neuter/release program if you schedule an appointment. Hope this helps!
Call the non emergency line for the police and they will send out animal control.
We charge $40 to euthanize an animal. We ONLY euthanize animals that are at the end of their quality of life at our discretion. We DO NOT euthanize animals with behavioral issues.
The Ogden Shelter closed and is now part of the Weber County Animal Shelter.
Must be 18 years of age to work at the shelter. You may try contacting one of the local animal rescues.
Must be 18 years of age.
Roy City allows each household to own 2 dogs.
Yes, any adult over 18 years of age may walk the dogs and/or cuddle with the cats. If under 18, must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at all times.
We only accept community service work for those associated with the Keisel Jail Facility.
$25. No appointment necessary.
Please contact the shelter. They will give you a $40 voucher to help toward the cost of the spay at any vet of your choice.
Adult cats are $20 Senior cats (over age 6) are $13 Kittens (below age 1) are $50 If you need a carrier to transport cat home, they offer them for an additional $5
Animal shelter will not give that info
Call your local city sanitation department.
Hello Bre, There are a couple places around that hire teens your age. Lagoon for one. Some Burger King locations also hire at your age. Schools usually tend to hire 15 year olds as janitors throughout the summer. Check with their respective School districts for availability. Also the Prairie Schooner Steakhouse in Ogden also hires 15 year olds mainly as hosts/Hostess and Bussers. Hopefully this helps you out!
If the male dog is going back to its owner, there is no requirement to get it neutered/spayed. If the dog was adopted from the shelter, law does require it be neutered/spayed within 30 days of adoption. The shelter does not have a vet on staff to perform neuter/spay services. The new owner can take it to any vet of their choice to get it done. The shelter gives a $40 voucher to help toward the cost. Fees for dogs going back to their owner are: $75 impound $15 rabies vaccine (if not up-to-date) $4 bordatella vaccine (prevents kennel cough) $12 per day for boarding. Cities do their own licensing and fees vary.
Yes, but you would need the animal's ID number the shelter gave them when they were here. The shelter cannot tell you who the adopted the animal.
About every 2 hours
Only if it is your dog so they can look it up by your name. Otherwise, you would need an animal ID number the shelter assigned it when it served its quarantine. It then is at the discretion of the shelter what information may be released.
My maid service website Mother of all Maids??
No. They're closed weekends. Also, they close right at 5 on weekdays. Get there at 5:01 and you'll need to wait til the next day to get your dog.
Sometimes they have puppies, but they aren't free as they complete the necessary vaccination process and there is always an adoption fee of some sort.
Not open any holidays.
Weber county animal shelter, facebook, ksl pets, or humane society of Utah are all good options to try. Also very sorry to hear about your mom.
Probably not, pretty sure you have to take them to a vet. We use Benlomand Animal Hospital, it's on 89 heading out of Ogden (north). Pretty reasonable, we had 2 cremated, and they give you a nice presentation of the ashes.
I think so
I was told its not refundable, its basically considered a donation. I know you have the option to return the animal within 30 days without being charged a surrender fee
Yes
I don't know the answer to that I'm assuming they do if you call him or you can call the non-emergency number for the police in the contact whoever will pick up.
You'll have to call the shelter directly to ask that question I have no idea on that.
I believe you need some kind of ID if you don't have a driver's license what I would do is go up to DMV and just get a state ID there's no tests or anything required I think it's a tiny fee and it looks just like a driver's license but it's still official identification
8am-5pm Monday thru Friday, closed on Weekends. Dogs are closed at 4pm.
There was a bully named spanky
Check their website. It should be there.
