Didn’t really feel welcomed from the staff all around. People should be treated fairly waited over an hour to be seated. Chef over shared my order to the table, over cooked my lobster, even though he served two patrons next to me their lobster perfectly. Spent more time oil and fire on mine. When I told him it was over cooked. He shouted to waitress she says it’s over cooked as if I’m lying I assume. He orders her to take it off my plate. Which is fine but why so rude you did it! Than my scallops were not on the cart so by the time he cooked it at the very end I felt like I was behind everyone enjoying their meal. 13 year anniversary dinner full of mistakes. I will not be returning. Since when does the rice look brown? Overcooked for expensive dinner get it together! I will not be recommending they used to be good years ago but now I see why they can’t fill their tables.

The service was good and the food was to die for. So much food and take home was great.

Make your reservations early, this place can be challenging to get into. As you walk in the place is clean and the staff is friendly. As you look at the menu the prices are normal for this type of restaurant. They do not have sushi, iwas hoping for some higher end sushi to start with. While taking our order the waitress commented that they are known for their fried rice ($5 extra per plate) while decent I was not impressed and wouldn't advertise this as (known for). Minus 1 star for the up sell of this item. The sides: Salad and dressing were standard. Soup had rehydrated mushrooms but good flavor. Grilled sides were simple & had a great flavor Drinks: Standard No special teas or interesting items. Main: I had filet mignon It was tender and the best part of the meal. The cook needs a lesson in what "rare" means, it was over cooked, closer to medium. Desert: An odd tasting 3 flavor sherbert. Entertainment: What you see in my photos was the highlight of the of the grilling. This style of restaurant is known for creative cooking and entertainment. For a price tag of $150 for 2 adults and a 2 y.o. I expected more, our cook mostly made alot of noise by banging his spatula on the grill and spinning an egg with his hands. Minus 1 star for lack of enthusiasm and entertainment. 1 star for location, there are not many places like this in the south end of Tacoma. Conclusion: I have been to many grill in front of you type restaurants, this is the least of my favorites. I hope this not only helps the consumer but offers some insight to the restaurant as well.

Great experience my 5 year old daughter loved it! Very entertaining with great food. Chef Min was awesome. We all left full with leftovers.

Theres walls to add privacy and the chef can't do all his tricks but they make up for it by being charismatic and making jokes and making friends! Totally worth going and supporting still. Min is fantastic (chef)
We only had one side which had a grill. There were to grills, one facing each way. Each grill had about 9 or 10 chairs. There were many stations in the place. Not sure how many grilles could cook at one time. There were 4 cooking while we were there.
They give you two sauces one for seafood and one for turf they are both Are very good not sure what they are called though .
We just went on Saturday 06/05. They didn't offer any on their dinner menu. It looks like there menu was pretty small. But the food was really really good!
Awesome
They definitely will work to accommodate your group needs when you make reservation. It just requires the right ratio of chef to guest that is the primary factor. Enjoy!
Spanaway is still under construction, and no you dont have to be 21 to eat there
No but you run the risk of waiting a long time. It is best to reserve a table.
Im not sure. I didnt know they were closed for remodeling. When did that start?
They do have seating for 10, but it may be awhile till that one reopens. They spent 3 years remodeling one restaurant.
No news, but it could be years. They opened up a new location in Tacoma after spending three years renovating, then closed the Spanish restaurant for renovation. There is also a new location opening up in University Place this month.
You will have to go to their Tacoma location to get a gift certificate. Their location by the Roy Y is under renovation.
Yes they are. Their location by the Roy Y is under renovation.
