If your time is valuable, avoid this practice! My appointment was at 3pm. I arrived 5 minutes early as instructed to complete new patient paperwork. I was pleasantly surprised when the intake nurse called my name at a few minutes past 3. She was efficient but not especially friendly or kind and told me to put on the gown and the doctor would be in shortly. I then waited for over an hour for the doctor to appear. When she did, she had the wrong patient name and chart and I had to correct her. She then left for another five minutes to get that straightened out. There was never an apology or explanation for why I was kept waiting for an hour and 15 minutes. I also felt that Dr Wood was in a hurry and I did not get the quality check-up I wanted. The only people who were kind and caring were the two receptionists.

This was my first time booking and attending a dermatologist appointment on my own after getting my own job and insurance and moving states. A little nervous going into it but they made everything so smooth. The process to create an appointment was straight forward, they had an appointment within a week of when I called. The check in process was easy as well and I didn’t even have time to finish the demographic patient information by the time they called me back (I had a few minutes to complete it between the nurse and doctor to finish it). Little to no waiting. The doctor I saw was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like she asked the right questions and guided me to the best treatment option. She even helped me try and get a better prescription price by suggesting GoodRX. The prescriptions were sent out right away and I had no problems. I was even given a pamphlet on my condition so that I had more information. Lastly, I think it is worth mentioning that I was not rushed out. My initial appointment was for one thing but in the days leading up to it I had come up with something else I wanted looked at. My doctor was great and made sure I had all my questions answered which gave me the opportunity to ask about this new thing I had questions about without making me feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing anyone by “adding” to my appointment.

Was extremely nervous to get a body scan, but from the moment I entered the examination room I was met with such kindness, and the lovely doctor (Elizabeth!) answered all of my questions in great detail and with great patience even tho I seemed to be the last appointment of the day. 10/10

While I've had two positive experiences at this clinic in the past 10 years, my last time attempt was disappointing. I called three times, and left two messages, to try to book an appointment. I wasn't quite sure which doctor I should see based on my referral. Never a response. Then I emailed, and nothing. They may be closed, or they may simply have terrible service for any number of reasons. Either way, I switched to Swedish West Seattle Dermatology and got an appointment scheduled within 10 minutes.
