I heard about Spinasse while traveling to Seattle during previous visits but was unable to get a reservation in the past but I was finally excited to get a spot here. The restaurant is very intimate and charming, and our server was incredibly friendly. She recommended an excellent Nebbiolo wine bottle that paired nicely with our meal. The pasta dishes are to die for!! We ordered 3 different pastas and it was one of the best Italian food experiences I have ever had in the states. Hands down, #1 Italian restaurant in Seattle!!! Highly recommend booking this place in advance and coming with an empty stomach because of how delicious this everything is here!

I’ll split this into five main categories to give y’all a better idea of the food and service. We did the tasting menu, which at the time was $115 per person plus $65 per person for wine pairing (more on this later). Quick note we had the nuts on the side due to an allergy. Appetizers: All were pretty strong, enjoyed the La Tur cheese the most. Can’t really go wrong with anything here. The Cipollini onions were fantastic, a must try. Pastas (and risotto): This is definitely the strongest “course” from the night. They are known for their pasta and it shows. Great chew to the pasta, and they are extremely thin so the sauce sticks amazingly. Two notes, the butter and sage pasta had ONE sage leaf. Pretty sad to see, would have been better with a chiffonade of leaves or better yet; crispy leaves. Lastly the risotto was mushy, definitely over cooked a bit as there was not a slight bite. The Agnolotti was the star here, I would take a full order of these any day. Mains: The Capunet was our favorite here, good amount of meat and sauce was delicious. The other two were downhill from there. The halibut was rather cold, despite us eating it first (all three mains were served at once). Peas and sauce were great however. Lastly, the steak was kind of a mess. It was barely warm too (we ate it after the halibut) and could have done with some finishing salt in my opinion. The puff pastry tasted good, but was completely soggy. I don’t know how they made it, but my guess is they were pre made with the filling in them before service, resulting in the sogginess of the puff pastry. Wine: Apart from the brut, nothing really appeased our wine palate from the pairings. You’d be better off bringing a nice bottle and paying the $40 cork fee. Service: Great service from everyone we interacted with, attentive and explained every course. All in all a decent dinner which we left completely stuffed. Unless you want to try almost literally everything on the menu and have come with a large appetite, I’d stick to the pasta and appetizers. Bring your own bottle of wine if you want a good wine without paying 2x the cost (they have good bottles but at the usually restaurant premium).

My appetite hasn’t been this happy in a long time cant wait to come back for more. Every dish and there were so many on the tasting menu. Oh so good. Cant think of a single dish I wouldn’t try again. It was my birthday but will be back again for a normal day :)

good lord, the food is amazing here. i only got to try the rabbit ravioli and butter/sage noodles, and both were spectacular. the service was a little disjointed, and i found the pace to be variable, but overall a great experience. i found the wine to be a bit overpriced, but everything else was on point.

Hi Julia, Yes they are!
Try your luck. Saturdays are pack full. But I am guess u r there at almost 10pm. Should be able to find seats/table. There is a bar table if you don't mind sitting there.
Yes. They are really friendly. There is a bar area. The tables are for 2 people, but I am sure 1 person can be seated.
Its pretty busy, on the weekend you will be waiting a long time if you dont have a reservation. They save the seats at the counter for walk ins but those seats are limited. If you want to go without a reservation I would suggest showing up right at 5 when they open to snag a counter seat.
I'm not an employee, but I imagine that the folks at Spinasse would be happy to do that if you gave them a call. I recognize that might be tricky, calling from across the pond, but I don't know of a better way.
