COOKING FOR BOBITOS 101
Cool resturant theme. Fried pickels were excellent. Big variety of different burgers and fries. Save room for the shakes. Overall the taste and quality of the food and service was very good. Will recommend and visit again.

Popped in for something to eat after a long day of flying and having no meals the whole day. This place hit the spot and then some! Went there on a quiet afternoon just days before Halloween so this place was very apropos. The burger was delicious and the loaded fries were a great side with it. I also got the count chocula shake and it was very rich, thick and chocolatey. Highly recommend!

Vibes cool. Fries and shakes are good. Burgers are fine

Many restaurants won't seat you until all pf your party arrives. Yes some do, but typically only ones that rarely fill up. Any restaurant that regularly has wait times to br seated typically wont do this
Yes they have some items available
No. Bring your children in. They're easier to catch and have more flavor.
I drive over 1000 miles at least once a year to visit Iowa and zombie burger bar is a must stop every time. There worth the trip, and so is Iowa, it's a beautiful state.
Yes. If you Google Maps and looks at the bottom of the screen you can explore all of the above. Downtown Des Moines in this area is very happening.
No, to my knowledge there are no parking lots. You have to park on the street at an angle and backwards - no forward parking. And make sure you have money for the meter. It might be best to park at a nearby garage and walk.
Yes. And it will be the best goddamn take out burger you ever had. I'd crawl naked through hot coals for Zombie Burger.
Absolutely!!
Less thousand island, more ketchup, mayo, and paprika. I asked when we visited last weekend.
Good, you wear a mask when going in, and take it off while you eat. The menu you can get on your phone so you don't use their's
They serve burgers without the bun, but you will want to also ask about the gluten free choices for the burger itself.
Just a rumor. I've never had anything spicy there but I'm sure there are options for it.
The menu is available to view on their website. http://www.zombieburgershakelab.com/des-moines-downtown/ You could probably put together something that's gluten-free because they have a no-bun option that puts the burger on a bed of lettuce.
Yes you can (found out later). I stumbled upon this place by chance cos I just came to town for a site visit with colleagues.
Yes, it is an easy walk there.
Yes, they are normally busy on Saturdays but they are well worth the wait. They do have a carryout counter service so you can order and eat outside if you'd like.
No. The employees don't dress up. However, there are fake zombie statues in a few spots. My 6 year old loved 'em tho. And, my 9 month old didn't even seem to care.
2015 is not correct. I moved here in 2012 and it was open then. It opened in 2011.
The hotel right across the street own the parking garage adjacent from Zombie Burger. Depending on how big your rig is our fit. I have s truck tha t sets 7'5" tall and trailer 16" fit.
No that would make it a malt. The difference is a shake doesn't have malt. A malt has malt
