All around, the experience was lackluster. The movie quality was ok at best, the food was decent but not for the prices they wanted, and the seats were not overly comfortable. If you are looking for a theater in the Des Moines area, there are multiple that are much better.

On Wednsdays they offer 5 dollar tickets to seniors
Soda, iced tea, cream soda, Italian soda and water... As for more achohol stuff they have a full stocked bar with hard liquor and wine. And all their craft brews from all around the state
You don't have to be there 30min early, but it's highly recommended so that you can get your orders in. Generally they don't let people in past the scheduled time.

You're better off eating before you go. Of the times I've been there and ordered food, it has never arrived. I get many comments from servers like "it went to the wrong theater" or "that's been happening a lot tonight."

Flix is the name of it. They are not owned by any of the big ones like Cinemark, AMC, or Regal.

They do! They bring it right to your seat. It does take a while on busy days of course. But rather fast on a normal day
I've seen a couple in the lobby. I believe u can rent out a theater for parties but it's a bit pricey

With a parent or guardian, I assume so. Best to call ahead of course, but I highly doubt there'd be any issue.
Tickets can be ordered online in advance, and you pick where you want to be seated. I've ordered a few months in advance on a couple occasions (for big blockbusters) to reserve my preferred seating location.
