I thought great thing is to see what type of wines are locally. By knowing Washington wines, wishfully this local wines better. But very disappointed. All six wine tastes are below average, taste like not mature enough. By Comparison to walls walla, and Oregon winery, wine taste was not distinct, and are not fully developed into wine.

(I visited in September 2021, but only got around to writing a review now - things may have changed since then.) We tried a tasting of their wines. Pours were inconsistent (they didn't use a measured pourer) and we heard tables around us complaining about this as well. 6 1 oz pours for $25 isn't great. They didn't offer much explanation about the wines, but to be fair, they looked pretty busy at the time (there were two workers to look after several groups of people). They didn't offer water unless you explicitly asked. Some of their wines are only available to their wine club, instead of just pricing them higher for non-club members. Overall, I felt like a dispensable customer, maybe because I'm a tourist, but I wouldn't go back there. The reason the score isn't lower is because the wines were actually pretty good - very nice noses on all of them, and most were acidic, food wines. So if you can find them in stores, I recommend giving them a try. Otherwise, I recommend passing. Service was nice (in demeanor) but they don't have a sense of good customer service.

Not for serious wine people. There are two kinds of wine people: the image people and the ones who love it. This is all mirrored sunglasses, $16 glasses (are we in Manhattan?) and not welcoming if you’re not a wine club member. (We were chased from the garden by someone wearing a fedora! It’s like a joke about hipster customer service!) The garden was lush, but there’s weirdly a hot tub and a toy-riddled kids sandbox in it. You’re not even allowed to spend more than an hour on the street side if you’re not a member. What about this makes me want to be a member? The wine was good enough, but there’s more delicious wine in the region/world than your liver can handle. Do yourself a favor and get a good bottle of DOC or Walla Walla wine at the grocery store and enjoy it on the beach. Savor it calmly and in the joyful spirit of generosity that the wine gods intended. Oh I will also note that there is a lot of signage and performance about masks - even though you are outside and going to take them off anyway - but no vaccine requirement. As a health care provider, that’s one more anti-evidence-based splinter in the experience.

We came out to Vashon on an absolutely beautiful day and stopped randomly at the palouse winery for a tasting. It has a super home spun and local feel. You are literally doing the tasting in a garage and the patio is the driveway of the winemakers house. We had a great time learning about the different wines being made on the island. The staff was very friendly and it was a great stop t start our Vashon tour. $15 for the tasting is great for what you get. Would recommend anyone to stop in for a tasting!
