Please do not send your loved ones to this program for their end of life care. As a registered nurse of 12 years, I was completely blown away by the lack of human decency and individualized care we received at the hands of this hospice, and will forever cloud the dark memory of our loved ones final days. Our assigned social worker was horrific. Our loved one was not even in the GIP (general inpatient) care of hospice for 24 hours before he was deemed by their staff to be "not in a crisis"/actively dying enough for this program/medicare to pay. The social worker harassed our family to find somewhere else for him to go, even if it meant a nursing home that he would have to be isolated/alone in his room for his final days due to a hospital acquired infection, or "just take him home". When we questioned how he was not approved to stay, as he was clearly actively dying, the social worker just pushed harder, calling the medical POA late in the afternoon to state we would have to pay $3000/night out of pocket if we did not quickly try to make a transfer decision. They also placed a PPD (which involves a needle stick) on our loved one in "placement anticipation", to only tell us this information as a footnote afterwards. The care here was so appalling, we transferred our loved ones care to McLeod Hospice House. This transfer came with the risk that our loved one would pass in transit (even though this organization deemed him not actively dying, and he clearly was), however, we felt passing in transit would provide a more dignified death than staying another second with this program. If I could rate 0 stars I absolutely would. For a program that is clearly concerned solely with maintaining and ensuring their medicare funding, I hope they soon realize that lack of humane end of life care is equally as important in this type of business, not just their money or funding. 09/22/2022 Update: As offered 3 weeks ago, in the comment to my rating, I reached out not once, but twice, to the email address provided below with no response. I do not wish to utilize the anonymous route, as I would prefer your company see the face of one of the family members of what I can only assume was one of the many patients you provided horrific end of life care to. I will continue to e-mail the email address provided, anxiously awaiting the meeting promised in the company reply to my review.

Please do your research carefully before you choose to place your loved ones on hospice. Right away I realized I made a mistake with the choice I made choosing this company.
