One of the largest off leash parks in the area. Well maintained and lots of steep hills to tire out your pup (and yourself)

It's an awesome dog park, but gets pretty crowded on weekends, which overwhelms my senior small dog a bit, and makes parking very difficult. During the week it's more reasonable, so just pick a time based on what your dog needs. I go here during the week and a different park on weekends. There's beautiful trails nearby too if you'd like to take your pup for a walk as well. Fair warning, it can get pretty muddy, so be prepared to clean off your pup afterwards if it recently rained.

4 stars is a stretch. Besides being a huge dust/dirt/sandbox.. It does have these really cool dog obstacles that i haven't seen at other dog parks around Seattle. But no hydration station for dogs which i thought would be a standard...

Cool smaller interurban dog oasis to get their energy out in the Ballard neighborhood. Fun obstacle course equipment such as a metal ramp, vertical poles to weave in and out, some level bars to hop over, step platforms to run up and down, and some hoops to jump through if you want to practice agility and performance training with your pup. A nice hill and expanse to run around and some wooden benches to sit and get a clear view of yours and other dog's activities. Also a water spicket to fill for dog thirst and usually dog poop bags on site as well. The area can get very full on the weekends and not every dog owner is educated in how to watch for signs of building aggression (in their dog or others) or when to encourage their pups to keep it moving, so anyone who comes with their pup should be prepared to be an active and directional presence with new dogs or large packs running together in case one of the bunch on a given day gets surly or too rough.
