There were so many places to choose to live around Champaign that I kind of ended up moving here in a split decision but after living here a bit and seeing some of the other places in the area I feel like I can say this is one of the nicest affordable places around

I've been here to experience the old management team and the current one. The difference is night and day. There has been much better communication with office and maintenance staff. Maintenance has been responding to work orders in timely manner. The shuttle bus is very convenient, and runs on time, the gym is clean, office staff is good about posting notifications and keeping track of packages. The community has a good mixture of students, family and every day working people. Its nice to see young kids playing on the basketball court. The overall vibes of the community is peaceful. My only gripe is with residents with pet's needs to better with poop clean up!

The place at 117 is a good starting apartment for anyone with its various nearby staple stores, close to campus, transportation , and is accommodating for anyone’s appropriate lifestyle. I recommend!!!

Is renters insurance required? If so what requirements are acceptable?

Yes. Coverage has to equal $100,000 worth of property. Lemonade is a great option. You pay $5 with a $250 deductable. That's what I have and they accepted it. You can also use their policy which I think is $12 but you'd have to call and ask more about it. If you choose an outside policy you just have to show proof of coverage.
