This is a very good organization. Over the past two years my mother has received support from SSSEVA. Jennise and Mike both have helped me with my mother's needs. From a limited home care staff assistance to setting up Meals-on-wheels and the Neighborhood Harvest deliveries. I am grateful to this organization.

Dorothy, Part of our role as the aging and disability resource center in South Hampton Roads is to provide referrals to other agencies who might be able to help respond to needs for services or programs that we don't directly provide. If you call our Resource Specialists at 757-461-9481, they can refer you to another agency who might be able to help you find a resource for help with cutting your grass and housecleaning.
Ms. Martin, If you call our Resource Specialists at 757-461-9481, ext. 6, they can direct you to available legal resources in our local community who can respond to your concerns.
Yes
Mary: Think of Medicare like a chessboard-all the pieces LOOK the same all of the time, but their VALUE changes according to their position and all of the other pieces remaining on the board. That said, if you've missed an RX, there may be free or nearly free supplements available. Ask your Dr. for samples-never skip something you need. Part D is available for purchase, but it's late in the year. All the rules change on the 1st of 2019-you may qualify for free or nearly free coverage under the new rules even if you were excluded before. Visit your SS office or look at "Medicare and you" on-line to get a better sense of this, but do this by December. 15. That's the cut-off date for picking a plan for 2019.
Hi Carol, yes we do. You can visit www.ssseva.org/careers.
You can call the regional office and compliments to them
Hi Paula, please call us at 757-461-9481 to talk with one of our resource specialists. He or she will find out more about your needs, identify the services that can help, and connect you to the appropriate departments or partner agencies.
I believe Senior Services should be able to lead you to the help you need... Give them a call. Blessings
What type of service are you looking for?
Ellie, Please call our Resource Specialists at 757-461-9481 to see how they might be able to help you find the resources you need.
