Spent hours waiting for the vehicle ferry from Ocracoke to Hatteras. It was off season early afternoon on a Wednesday. Ocracoke is a nice place but it's not worth wasting hours to visit.

What do you want in a ferry? It's not a luxury Ocean Cruise. It's an excellent boat for getting your vehicle from one Island to another on a good schedule and for free. My family had a blast on it.
