I recently moved back to Oly for work, and was really sad to leave my old MMA gym behind. I tried several other gyms in the area, but I didn't feel like I was home until I stepped through the doors at Hammerhead MMA. Everyone has been kind and welcoming, but I can tell that they are serious about training. As a female I'm used to being one of the only girls in the gym, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that lots of really talented women train here.

By far the best gym in this area. Joey Guel is a top notch instructer in multiple disciplines. His knowledge is derived frome years of actual mma combat across the globe. You can effectively train in multiple striking and grappling janras. I've been training almost my whole life. I hate driving and wasting gas..... that said I pass 4 gyms that I know of to train at hammerhead

Learning so much. The instructor takes it step by step and makes sure to watch you and correct you. Everyone is nice and inviting, makes you feel a part of the team.

The best gym I have been to. Perfect for all level of fighters. Joey Guel's level of expertise is exceptional. He's an experienced fighter that knows what works and what doesn't work. He shows a genuine interest in his students and does right by them. Guaranteed you will get better just by showing up. Don't hesitate to sign your children up. Every young women should take his classes, they will learn skills to protect themselves.

Hi Austin, at our gym it is all about building your skill and stamina. You usually train with people your weight and skill level, no necessarily your age. After a while, when you get comfortable with your level and your training partners it is good to train with upper level athletes as well, they can teach you and expand your limits. Hope that helped ;-)
Hi Noey, Thank you for your interest! Depending what classes you are looking at. For Jiu Jitsu a good age to start is 5-7 years of age. You can shoot us an email for further information and specifics.
