When you hit the magical time that the park isn't too busy, it's a great swimming lake. Swim shoes are recommended due to sharp basalt rocks and fishing hooks here and there.

Nice easy little lake to boat (non-motorized), fish, swim or lounge on the beach... Families with kids it is an excellent place to bring them with plenty to do to keep active... Open facilities, picnic tables and covered areas available for functions...

We were there in March 2020 with some friends. It was beautiful in a "Washington" was. It was a little windy & kinda cold. Beautiful lake & park in any weather! The wildlife was more that welcoming lol We had a great time!! Making wonderful memories! I cant wait to go back!

During fishing season only. And children 14 and under do not need a license.
I dont believe you need reservations to use the facilitys...first come first surve :)
Yes you do just go on the website and it should take you through the steps and how much it should be.
If you want to be sure and have it. If it's not already reserved then it's first come, first serve. In the middle of the summer, they are often reserved.
There aren't any signs prohibiting fishing year around and there is a specified dock in the park...only for fishing.
You can set up for free, the covered areas are fees and reservations in advance
There are no lifeguards . However the water isn't deep and my observation while there was many families from many different places watching out for each others families. Truly beautiful sight and the cool breeze in about the middle of park on main walk strong cooling breeze coming of lake
Yes, all adults in the state need to have a fishing license to fish anywhere
Gates closed,no life gaurd but could walk in and play around?Other people were also enjoying the park.
Go to www.kingcounty.gov/parks and click on reservation. Has to be a week in advance at least.
No they are not...lake meridian in Kent lake Sawyer in Kent...both allow motorboats
I don't think so, but I suggest you go check it out in person first
At least 1.
Multiple electronic systems they use require Wi-Fi to communicate with a main server so they can monitor or adjust them remotely. The Wi-Fi access is explicitly for those park devices only.
Yes
Trout are stocked yearly. There's also bass, bluegill, and crappie.
One restroom facility open seasonally, located near playground and swimming beach with 3-4 toilets, sinks, and a shower area.
A day park mainly.
Five Mile lake has great covered faculties for a birthday party.
Most Parks only have people that come and pick up the garbage and empty the trash. There's no monitoring, so to speak. I believe that's a county park, there's probably a phone number on a sign somewhere, you can call or check online. It's frustrating when people don't observe the rules at the park, though, I get you. Not everybody loves other people's dogs, especially when they put their noses up your shorts.
