The Kent Parks and Recreation have frequent events for the kids, and we adults also appreciate them. Ensure you view their schedule, so you're hitting some of the event days there.

(Dog park) It was nicer when we first started going there 2 years ago. A great introduction park for my puppy. He pretty much grew up there. He's older and taller so there isn't a lot of room to run anymore. Especially if there are several people there with their big dogs too. The new pet parents aren't all that great either. There's way more dog waste that isn't picked up than I've ever seen before. It's really disappointing that a park we loved to visit has become so ill maintained by the visitors. We still stop by when we're short on time. But it's no longer our first choice.

If you have never visited the dog park before, it is confusing to locate it. It is directly behind the YMCA parking lot, not the park's parking lot. It is also strange about the large dog v the small dog park. From what I could tell, the section are about the same size. There were large dogs on both sides. The side I visited was the large dog size. It was extremely dusty. I would not know what I would replace that with, just saying... I did not noticemuch human seating, just a seat under the shade cover.

It's great for the toddlers. Short woodsy trail that ends at a few small to large concrete balls that they love to climb on. And on our way out we hit the playground where he loves to play with this ride on, hands on working bulldozer tractor thingy

Yep! Check out the park website it says the new dog park near the YMCA side of the park is open.https://www.kentwa.gov/Home/Components/FacilityDirectory/FacilityDirectory/234/318
Not even close. There are walking trails, however, those are on-leaah areas. The off leash area is nice but pretty small. Grandview is an awesome park and if I were choosing one to go to with a dog I would go to Grandview.
