This trail is for real. Better than any gym membership and look at the amazing views from up top and down near the water. Always beautiful. People of all ages walk, job, bike and skate the approximate 3.5 Mile Walk around the course. It is a work out no matter which direction you choose. This is what is meant when your parents said up hill both ways.

What a fun little walk! Super close to UP and Steilacoom makes it easy to get to, but parking was a lot of work. We had to drive around the lot 3 times before a spot opened up. Perfect walk with the kids and stroller. The views were amazing.

Twas a beautiful sunset, slightly more spectacular than the average sun setting in Tacoma Washington. The course was a beaut to walk through, perfect cut grass to highlight the curvature of the natural landscape made even more beautiful by the accentuating effect of the aforementioned setting sun. It seemed like one big painting that the dog (Mixie) and I were just strolling right through. A must see if you have limited time in the area!

I don't believe any of them are combination locked since we moved into the area. I have experienced one being locked around the time they close the areas though.

The park at the bottom of the hill that you drive to closes before sun set. I'd say get there an hour before to be safe. They close the downhill side of the gate and then the park employee goes to tell everyone already in the park to leave.
