Fun spot to find. Walking trail leads you downhill to a look out which is no longer a look out because of the tree growth. The stairs to the beach are currently closed. There is a small parking lot.

Beautiful absolutly stunning except there was no way to get down to see the water which is ungodly misleading since there are photos of water shown in the overview of this tourist attraction. There's a log that was in honor of the 2012 cubscouts that helped the park out but I'm not sure how if they took the time to put in the trail or made it public or what. The log was the like a foot stone but it was the edge of a dirt staircase and it was top step it was made if wood and it is rotting and it's difficult to understand. But it doesn't currently lead to the water because the final staircase is out of order because of I believe of a landslide or a something.

Ideal walk with shade, up and down the path, cannot go to beach because of land slides.

What a fantastic view of the whole area, you can see Des Moines, Quartermaster Harbor, Bremerton, and when they are shooting off fireworks, even Seattle and Tacoma. Great sunsets too!

They're slightly more popular in the summer, but they use the nests throughout the season. It sort of revolves around the maturity of the chicks. There is an info booth up in the forested part of the park that can explain it better. Just keep trying your luck :) they are nothing if not flighty animals.
