There is a co-ed place call the Red Square (1914 Division)..It has two sides one for men and another for women and a small common co-ed area. Not sure if it's still open it's been a few years since I went there.

The way I see it customers are in control of these things. Whenever you are there you can make it quite high (or low) based on your personal wishes. Of course it's a public place, so you have to pay attention to desires and opinions of others.

This is not a cruising spot. I mean, in any bath/spa/sauna there will be men that might be looking to hook up, but the Sweatlodge is the least bit of that compared to other saunas. Steamworks on the other hand is a dedicated spot for men interested in men and to have sexual action. At the Chicago sweatlodge, the action is sweating, twigging, soaping, beer and food :)

Kind of similar. There are only two hot rooms, one dry and one wet, and there is a cold water pool to plunge after hot room visit. Rooms are much hotter than in Korean saunas. When you enter you are getting towels and skirt to wear inside. But it's up to you to wear it or not in hot room. In dining area you have to wear this skirt, so others won't be scared. ;-)

Yes, there is an enclosed (wood fence) back patio area. You can have a smoke in your towel while still having privacy. Nice ambiance there- a few tables, string lighting, etc...

Most attendees are straight, but it's a free country. Out of respect, don't stare at everyone's junk. Most wear the bath robe / covering with snaps, but you don't have to wear it.
