This looked like one of the nicest Sushi restaurants in the downtown area. And it was. However, it was pricey and we personally had a few issues that I will be aware of if we return. I’ve been a sushi fan for many years and was excited to see that they had Salmon Belly and Tuna Toro (Fatty Tuna). The Salmon belly was amazing, but we were shorted one order that we found out when the bill came that we still were charged for it. The Tuna Toro, at $75ish for 2 orders was very disappointing. It wasn’t trimmed so both orders had the thicker fat still attached which took away from the butter smooth marbled meat. Probably the worst cut I’ve ever had and at that price it just made the experience less than 5 stars. The Mackrel was AMAZING. The Salmon, and all other Sashimi was perfectly cut and in slightly larger cuts then I’ve had at other places. They also had a baked lobster roll that was amazing. Lastly, if you go here and do not try the Fuji apple sake, your missing out. They also had fresh wasabi, but also the cheap paste. Which was something I hadn’t seen before on the same plate. Overall I will return when I want to impress guests, but I will probably not order the Tuna Toro. Too high of a price to risk having to complain, which I tend to ignore and just deal with it. Like we did this trip. That’s what google reviews are for. 😁

Go!!! But make a reservation first. We happened to walk in at just the right time with one table open. Everything was absolutely scrumptious, from the shishito peppers to sushi. Highly recommend this sweet spot!!

1st time here great service and beautiful restaurant. THE kalbi tacos were delicious meat was juicy tender great flavor with the creamy avocado on top it was a great fusion of flavors. The sushi is fresh and they have a lot of different cocktails. A good place for a date.

Great food and service. We came late after a long flight just before hotel check in. It was a perfect stop and we got our sushi quickly. Warning: the spicy tuna is ground tuna and is super hot. I’d probably pass on it next time but the appetizer crunchy roll was fantastic.

Hi Courtney. Jeannie from THEKOI here. The sashimi(just fish fillet) definetely is the best option when it comes to gluten free eating. Glueten free soy sauce is always available as well. Some rolls like salmon roll or tuna roll is also great dish. From the hot kitchen, try things like salmon teriyaki or beef teriyaki without teriyaki sauce with it. Oh, did you know Sake is 100% glueten free too? :) Thank you and hope to serve you some good meal soon!
They do not have a parking lot but there is plenty of street parking.
Yes! Tempura and veggie rolls ;)
Yes
Yes and one of the best sushi places around... Get the spicy tuna for takeout.
