A cute little trail that not many people seem to travel. There are so many options for exploratory pathing and it's a great place to observe local wildlife and plants! I don't believe there was a restroom or water available where I parked though, so come prepared!

I love finding new places to bird and explore wildlife, and this is a great place for that. Lots of pathways that you might follow if you wish. You can find views of the river, open fields and forested areas. I bet an agile person could find a way down the the water and dip their toes in on a hot day. My only issue is that the longer you follow the main path, if you would call it that, the less maintained it becomes. We had to turn around at a certain point because we just couldn't figure out where to go. Still, we enjoyed being out and about, walking and birding in this area. Give it a try! And maybe wear some water/mud proof shoes if you do.

Hidden gem! This is not prominently marked on Google Maps (i.e. not the green color that a park usually has) but it’s actually quite spacious. We went during the new year break and we felt we had the entire space - we rarely saw people coming here. You get to see a variety of landscapes - grassland, wetland, forest, and river bank all in this park. With winter clouds and sunshine, the view is spectacular. Though, it can get quite muddy in some places, so make sure to wear waterproof hiking boots.

My wife and I visited here to go for a walk. The walk was pleasant but after about a half mile in we came to some logs that we would have to hike on to continue. At our age neither of us felt confident in our balance so we called this as the end for us. The trail was mostly flat with a brief down hill at the beginning which, of course, became a brief uphill at the end. The trail travels along the river with a few nice view spots. The trail was narrow with berries growing on both sides.

Questions & Answers

Last time we visited a few months ago , there were huge downed trees blocking the trail. Anyone know of any progress removing trees and overgrowth?

Was there Saturday with my family and the trees were still down

How long is the trail? And is it steep or mostly flat?

The only steep part is at the beginning. Its downhill on the way out, uphill on the way back.
