We drove to this place after dusk and came to a locked gate. Don't list this on Google as available since you have to be military or "sponsored" to get in. My wife and I are Canadian so this isn't even available to us. ATTN: GOOGLE have a category for these or a DISCLAIMER.

This place has large covered areas with grills and fire pits (perfect for a rainy day). There are also uncivered group fire pits. You can rent RVs and they are pretty nice. Bedding is provided upon request. You can also rent Yurts. They are clean and comfortable (but bring your own bedding). They also have heaters in them, so you could comfortably camp into fall or start early spring. There are also tent sites to rent. There is a beautiful nature trail and the beach is a 5 minute walk from the park. The office staff here are friendly and informative. The grounds are well maintained and there is a lot of cool gardens (likely maintained by the camp host). The bathrooms and showers are clean.

This RV park is an awesome little community that has been built and added to the campgrounds. The brach and views are stunning. It is a great spot for budding photographers and inspiring artists to come out and capture some easy and natural beauty.

Wow, what a place!! Have to be military or sponsored to get in. It is an active Navy Base and the jets are flying!! Beautiful camp ground. Very well run. Two pages of rules!

There is a part of the campground that is reserved for tent camping, a little exposed as there isn't much tree cover over there. Still nice and really close to the beach, great sunsets.
Yes. Retirees are welcomed back.
It's on base, you would have to have base access and they're usually booked up a while in advance.
Must be DoD military, civilian employee, or retiree with DoD ID. Must make reservation ahead of time.
I strongly recommend calling 360-257-2649 and asking for Sarah or Dave.
The active duty restriction is due to covid mitigation. Normally, active duty and retired personal are welcome and encouraged to visit. If you have any questions about current restrictions, just call the office at 360-257-2649. They can give you the latest policy during the year of weird.
No it is for active duty military, reseverist, retired military or Civilian DOD

Someone in your party needs military ID to get aboard the air station for sure and if I recall correctly from my visit, military ID is also required when you check in at the housing desk to get your RV site.
