Absolutely love a few Case workers here. And this program is nothing like I thought it would be, it’s actually 10 times better then I expected. Great program and even more amazing humans working here, very down to earth and humble. Anyone in my position I recommend calling ywca, if they don’t help personally, they’ll find the resources you need no matter!! Thank you to my case manager and the ywca office.

Unfortunately my family and I were "guests" at the myrtle location between 5/13/18 - 9/8/18 (Notice the dates). We were required to pay a fee on 6/1/18 of 1/3 of our total income by then the income had dropped from what it was when we became "guests". I understand the fee because the program has to be replenished. But I also understand that Shelters are given an allotment of money per family that are housed at their facility. I was chosen to be the face of YWCA because they knew I would give them a very good review. Why? Because I was self sufficient and already had all my ducklings lined up and quacking. But after I give them what they want, and them tellin US "guests" they pay our whole move in cost(3day process) and give us back half of our fees(14day process). I signed my lease on 9/8/18 and was out the shelter the next day 9/9 and it was clean and vacant 9/10. My move in cost was a total of $820 and that's in Seattle. They even exchanged paperwork with the landlord saying they paying the move.in fees. Do anyone think I could get keys with no nothing? Why did the YWCA call me and the land Lord and say they can only pay $450? This leaves me one month behind and still struggling after battling homelessness. I have not defeated it because the agency who was supposed to be helping me put me and my family back at risk. I will be writing plenty letters. These people in the higher offices are snobby and desolate...my case manager was overwhelmed, underpaid, and overworked. The higher offices located at East cherry and stealing from the program. I will be waiting for them to post the blog of me and my family so I can make an update.
