No wifi, but a decent place to stay at least. Though there is this one bogus rule if someone's hitting you, you are supposed to sit there and take it, but if you do anything to restrain yourself, you are charged with a leave and you can't come back for a few months for violence.

Friday Feast volunteering. If you are in need of a good meal, looking for a great way to volunteer a few hours of your Friday evening, or both stop in by 4pm any Friday and talk to Colin. They do amazing work here helping to feed both young and old each and every Friday at the Roots Young Adult Shelter in the U District. The entrance is just south of the People's Harm Reduction in the alley 0.5 blocks south of the U Book Store. Look for the signs for the Roots Shelter pop up Thrift Shop and you've found the right place.

Love the staff. Super friendly and helpful. Although occasionally there have been a few incidents/altercations, though they are rare. Other than that the facility is fairly clean and they have great food for dinner and breakfast, all around a pretty wonderful facility.

Disgusting physically and ethically.Bathrooms have no ventilation allowing mold to grow inside. People are allowed to be inside when clearly drunk or under the influence of drugs. The staff are very inconsistent but they all share the common goal of being the least helpful and doing the absolute minimum. I feel bad for every kid I saw staying there.

I woke up one night missing $100 And my Samsung galaxy S7 active, sad part is I wouldn't put it past the staff to have taken these items from me.

Yes it’s still open! It’s now located on 45th and 19th. If you call they can get you in and get you connected with a case manager too!
