Great for sunrise, sunset, small park nearby and start of the bike/jogging path on the dam.

I don't understand why there's an open to public swimming area, kids of all ages and yet, there is no lifeguard or volunteer lifeguard, with unsupervised children swimming.

At all beaches in Buckeye Lake State Park there is swimming at your own risk. It's been that way for years. Parents of younger children should be there supervising their children.
