Someone left large tins of cat food under the picnic tables in the shelter house. This will draw more than domestic cats. I'm sure there are plenty of skunks and raccoons taking advantage. The informational boards on Abraham Lincoln were great to share with my kindergartener who has been learning about our 16th president and enjoyed rolling her eyes and saying, "I know, mom!" There is a strange lot to the west with a school bus, campers, and a porta-potty.

We sat and watched a barge. Trees need to be trimmed between park and river as well as the one over growing the drive.

Years of abuse by adult children has left it in a pretty bad state of repair and as best I can tell, its not had any real maintenance in years. The shelter house is rotting in many places, the roof is leaking, and the stones have been damaged. Its still a nice little roadside park though. Worth a visit now and again.

I've seen campers down there maybe once a year. Does anyone know of it's ok to camp here?
