Absolutely STUNNING little museum!! GO !! Very well organized and FULL of artifacts from over a century... typewriters, logging equipment, dish/clothing-washers, phonograph, 1890's maps and documents and a Taylor motorcycle and antique vehicles and more !! Quite hard to find...

Went to Museum to make a donation in memory of my Mother. She really loved the museum and supported it during her life. The person to greet us that day was Janice and she was so welcoming and enthusiastic about the museum and the story of Skagit County. They have a nice selection of gifts, some of which are hand made by local artisans, and lots of books on the area. We of course purchased a few items......

Air conditioned, clean bathrooms and much better exhibits than many rural museums. They have enough stock, especially with the costumes to rotate stock, so there were different things this time than the last. Volunteer staffed, it might take them a minute to find something, but that is part of the charm. Lots of parking and several great photo ops right from the parking lot.

Yes, it's five dollars for adults and four for kids. But. Very much worth it however!

I HAVE A COPY OF "LAST FRONTIER IN THE NORTH CASCADES: Tales of the Wild Upper Skagit" BY WILL D. JENKINS. Would you like it?? Or send it to a school? Or to the tribe? Is the address in the book, PO Box 424, Mount Vernon WA 98273 correct?

Hi Deirdre, The book you mention is one of our publications; we sell new copies of it in our Museum Store! If you would like to donate your copy to a school or local library, that sounds like a very worthy use of the book! By the way, our street address is 501 South 4th St, La Conner, WA and mailing address is PO Box 818 La Conner, WA 98257.
