For those that know me, I judge every restaurant I go to by their fish and chips. Even high end restaurants like Nell Thorn shall be no different! I started off with the Halibut and got a side of the truffle fries. The halibut had a nice sear on one side and was cooked perfectly. The fish by itself was delicious with a great presentation. The truffle fries (cooked in truffle oil) were great and the sauce they brought with it paired beautifully. The other dish we got was a fantastic morel pasta dish. Need I say more? Well worth it. For dessert we had the cheesecake. It came with a generous amount of whipped cream on top and had a very professional presentation. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. If you have never been, it’s well worth your stop if you are looking for a fancy meal. Also of note, they don’t have a kids menu but will create something for you such as buttered noodles paired with grilled chicken or other options. My 8 year old loved it and ate the leftovers the next day.

Stumbled on this place entirely by accident and we're glad we did. We had one of the best Sunday brunches. Crab Benedict for me, fried chicken sandwich for my friend. Service was wonderful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a beautiful place and the food is 5 Star and we found the service was excellent. We went at Brunch with a fairly large group for birthday. I was very happy overall.

LaConnor is such a cozy town and Nell Thorn followed suit with an elegant flair. The full, fresh flavors made every bite delightful, especially when it came to the rich bolognese and the beautifully spiced carrot cake (with a perfectly velvety texture!). This was a lovely meal to follow our tulip adventures, and we will definitely be back!
