This is a foundation you should feel comfortable donating to it’s one of the honest organizations still left for animals in the United States. Dr. Katherine Wilbert Is absolutely phenomenal.

As a cat owner and lover I am really disappointed in the story I heard from my friend who was trying her best to save a kitten that was left behind by the mother when it was moving kittens. My friend was told to bring the kitten in, a vet tech gave terrible advice and told this person the kitten was four weeks old when it was only two. The eyes were still opening and the tech caused a lot of damage to the kitten. Didn’t treat it and it’s a big difference how you treat a two week old to a four week old. I am way too busy and I wish I had just gotten the kitten and taken care of her in New Orleans and brought her to the cat hospital because I obviously knew more than the tech. The vets tech instructed her to come back again on Saturday for the infection. On Saturday the vet then said the kitten is two weeks old and needed treatment but wouldn’t treat the kitten because they were too busy, the kitten died later than night. They shamed my friend and caused a lot of trouble for the kitten who was a survivor and could’ve made it had the tech been knowledgeable and not negligent. If you can’t help then don’t tell someone to drive two hours and come in. That was crazy. I have donated to this place before and will never again because the professionalism, care, and knowledge is severely lacking.

Depending on traffic could be a little over an hour but would be much appreciated
Yes, they have few who are available different times of days. As well as few vetrenary assistants.
I was there for six hours I was in stasis most of the time & when they needed something signed they whipped it out of nowhere & everything was done on their end in nanoseconds. Here is my dramatic experience. On my initial call there were quick to pick up and tell me come on down to head for manx kittens and many more to choose from. None of the kittens on their site were up for adoption they told me when I get there there's only three. I only wanted one but they pushed hard to have me adopt two. I finally chose a kitten who turned out to be extremely sweet but a week later despite her grooming us in the bed at night she was petrified in the day my instinct which was not respected -she would never be okay w/my husband when he returned from working out of state. My daughter got scratched twice w/out provocation. Instead of dumping it I returned it. They wouldn't let me keep the carrier I bought from them for $20. She was really angry at me & charged me $125. $75 was paid at 1st.
Before we could take in any animal we would need more information about the animal and the circumstances. We also have to assess our situation at the moment. However, even if we can not intake the animal was can help you with low cost care and rehoming. For more information on your animal you can send an email with your name, number and your situation so that someone in the office can contact you and figure out your next step!
Spay/neuter appointment are available most weeks. For exact information you should contact the office.
