We absolutely love Low Cost Animal Medical Center, we have been bringing out little zoo here for 5 years and have always had great and compassionate care. This year we had the pleasure of Nadeen as a tech. WOW, top level all the way around. Thanks for always being a place that loves our animals almost as much as we do! The pricing is fair, and the staff is just wonderful!

An extraordinary experience! I brought my puppy Tito in for his shots. Tito was rescued from the side of the interstate at less than 6weeks old . He is a mixed breed he looks a lot like a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I live in Metairie and the SPCA is closed in Metairie. I called around and visited several clinics in Metairie. Once they looked at my dog they said their insurance would not allow them to treat him or board him as he looked like a pittbull. I was thrilled Low Cost Animal Clinic accepted us with open arms! Their staff is super friendly and they LOVE their job. It shows in the way they speak each other amd their clients. I was concerned Tito would be aggressive since he has not been around unfamiliar people or other dogs. I was PLEASANTLY surprised at how Tito responded with pure joy when he met the vet, Dr. Broomhall, and staff. He received his one year exam and vaccinations. I explained to the vet how it is difficult for me to find hotels which will except my dog especially during Hurricanes. Jefferson parish has VERY LIMITED RESOURCES. I was elated to hear how New Orleans set up busses to provide water stations, air condition, and shelter for dogs during Hurricane Ida. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms. Tito and I love you. It was also FANTASTIC to learn other pet owners speak to their puppy like children teaching them kindness and thst there is enough love in the world for ALL OF US!

I take my dog there . They save me a lot on medicine and vaccinations. But more so how they truly care about our pets.
I found lakeside animal clinic was about 540 dollars 3 seoerate payments located in metaire ask for Dr. McKenna 540t otal about 180 each time well worth it
I paid $95, but also included a steroid shot because he had an infection. At my old vet I paid more than double that or just his regular yearly.
$35 for a visit plus the cost of any vaccines or tests. $45 for a walk in if you can be seen that day. Shots and visit are not the dame thing. $35 for an office visit. $45 for emergency. Shot packages are different for different ages.
I know that the spca in Jefferson offers free fixation for feral cats. You call and they will give you a list of vet's that does service for free. If you live in new Orleans, call spca there
Spayed, or neutered? Annual dog visit including all shots is $70. There are some spay/neuter vouchers available depending on address and circumstances. They will not spay or neuter without requisite rabies shot. You can always come back after spay/neuter and get the rest of shots and heartworm or flea treatment. These people care and will work with you.
Yes
With annual shots and fecal exam 95 dollars. Cheaper than SPCA
Call them early in the morning and see if you they can get her in. They cost less than any where else.
Love every single thing about the Low Cost Animal family. Clean, efficient, caring, affordable!!! So grateful to have found this facility.
Yes they give shots
Use a soft damp towel will do the job.
We appreciate your question, however; in order for patient to receive surgery they need to be seen by a doctor first to make sure they are healthy enough for procedure.
Yes, just call 504-444-1124 for more information!
Being busy is no excuse for poor customer service; especially when medical care is being provided for our beloved pets.
Awesome place nothing free but they really work with you
I think puppy shots are $50. Either way they have the best prices in town with amazing service and staff.
An annual for any sized dog is 95 dollars before tax and fee for rabies tag if you live in Orleans or Jefferson Parrish (required by law) so around $109 once those are added. Heartworm prevention starts as low as 5 dollars a month and $18 a month for small dog. Please go to our website for more information. I am sure there is some mistake in that $500 figure. Miscommunication or misunderstanding perhaps.
I don't think so, just household pets. But its worth a call?
I don't think so, but I'm sure the staff would be happy to assist if qualified or might be able to recommend someone in the area!
U have to call them it different price range
I don't know the exact figure, but I can tell you that they are the best place in New Orleans to bring your little ones. Service is fantastic and the cost is amazing!
This is a full service low cost animal hospital you can walk in but I recommend an appointment. My cat had her surgery there and my for routine stuff
You can walk in and they'll do a check up on your pet and would more than likely clip his nails.
I believe they do dental work but you would need to call regarding prices. They are affordable compared to many vets uptown
I would ask the animal hospital. They are the experts.
Call them there will treat you right
Go to Facebook page, the Inner Pup. It’s $5.00 heartworm test. Heartworm meds and flea meds are a dollar a month and you can get three months. It’s based on your income. Each of my dogs cost $11.00
Should be $35. Call and ask. Everyone is Really nice
Yes they do. A friend got her cat neutered thete. They are great
I do not know if they have a groomer. There is a place on St. Claude , called Bel Air , that has very good prices for grooming. I had my dog bathed, ears cleaned, and nails clipped ..$ 25... can't beat that!!
Spca is only preventative medicine. Better to pay $35 for these wonderful folks. You wont get a reply from a vet on this thread. Call and talk to someone. All my personal pets go here and I encourage everyone to go there. Very nice and compassionate folks. They also take Care Credit
Please call in the morning. This isn't staffed by any employees. 444-1124 I'll tell you the only cheaper place is Petcos Vetco.
Sounds like she has a bladder infection. Low cost animal is great and very reasonable. $35 for the visit I think and they will keep you informed of pricing as you go. Try and bring a urine sample with you if you can. It might help with a faster diagnosis
They do offer dental cleani gs. The cost is $195. That includes pre-op blood work.
I don't it. That would be considered cosmetic surgery or owner vanity surgery. This is a compassionate and caring staff providing low cost care for animal..
