Yes I advise waiting especially if you are not in good health even allergies will adversely effect you and others experience the pressure from the wind tunnel would be very very uncomfortable with a head cold.

As far as I know, single tickets/ slots are per person, you pay per person up to a group which I think qualifies as 6 or more to get a discount. However, if your willing to share your timeslot, I'm sure that can be arranged, given that there is room for another person technically "unpaid" I would definitely call in though too.

Honestly if I were you, you should try laying flat on your belly look straight up as far as you can arms out @ 11 & 1 o'clock and feet the same while bending at the knees. If you can do that then you should go give it a shot. I have no issues but felt it in my neck and lower back the next day. Worth it though. Good luck

During your flight session the driver of our wind tunnel will be taking snaps of you mid-flight. Don't forget to smile! Yes, your safety is our primary concern! Our unique design with its wall-to-wall air column, along with our certified and highly-trained instructors, allows you to safely enjoy your flight session. Your flight instructor is with you through your entire flight experience regardless of your level of experience.

Each flight within the wind tunnel lasts 60 seconds and each package includes a minimum of two 60-second flights (turns in the tunnel). However, total flight length depends on the package that you choose. When jumping out of an airplane, the free fall portion lasts approx. 45 seconds. If you reserve a package that contains 4 flights, you will have 4 turns in the wind tunnel with an instructor lasting 60 seconds each. Some of our packages include double-length flights which lasts double the time at a reduced cost. The entire iFLY first-time flyer experience takes approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes from start to finish.

Very simply, a wind tunnel is a machine that moves a lot of air. A vertical wind tunnel, which is what we use at iFLY, moves air in a vertical column at speeds high enough to keep a person safely floating.

A vertical wind tunnel has fans at the top of the building to draw air through the flight chamber and then push it back down the sides through Return Air Towers. That leads to an inlet contractor that compresses & speeds up the air before it reenters the flight chamber. The result: a smooth column of air that enables you to fly.

Yes, there are. The International Bodyflight Association (IBA) has some excellent video tutorials. The IBA is the association that trains and accredits our iFLY instructors.

Flight reservations can be rescheduled or cancelled with at least a 48 hour notice. Large groups (6 or more), events, camps, skydiver/experienced flyer reservations require a notice of 7 days to reschedule or refund. Gift cards and vouchers are not refundable except as required by law.

Not at all! It is the same as if you stick your head out a car window while driving. All you feel is the wind in your face. Just breathe normally, either through your mouth or your nose.

Competitive indoor skydiving, also known as Bodyflight, shares many of the disciplines of competitive skydiving, such as formation skydiving and freestyle skydiving. Generally, athletes compete to successfully complete a certain number of maneuvers in an allotted amount of time. Athletes can compete as teams, working to complete maneuvers and grips, or as individuals. Each performance is recorded and judged by a panel of experts. If you’re interested, our instructors can help you improve your flying skills and take you to the next level of indoor skydiving.

Generally, no. There’s no jumping, no falling, and no experience is needed. You simply float on a column of air at about torso height of your instructor. There is no sensation of falling or anything that would make you feel motion sickness.

We welcome flyers from 3 to 103. If you have reasonable health and fitness you can fly. But do check the criteria below before you book. We’ll do everything we can to help you fly because our goal is to deliver the dream of flight to everyone! There are a few exceptions: Flyers must be over 3 years of age or older. Participants must weigh less than 300lbs. Women who are pregnant should not fly. Anyone with a hard cast is not permitted to fly. Individuals with recent back, neck, and heart problems should check with a doctor before flying. iFLY recommends people with prior shoulder dislocations DO NOT FLY! If you have any concerns or questions about whether or not you can fly, contact your local iFLY. Everyone who flys must complete a Flight Waiver, which contains further details.

Flyers can be as young as 3 years of age and there is no upper age limit. Children under 18 years of age need to have a parent or guardian sign their waiver.

Our primary concern is for your safety in the flight chamber so the tricks or flips are done by experienced flyers only. Some flyers are able to do turns, move up and down, and forward and backward during their first flight. Be sure to ask your instructor how to advance your flight skills.

Your flight experience will begin promptly at your scheduled flight time. Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation time to allow time to get checked in. For flight reservations at Hollywood and Oceanside only, plan to arrive at your scheduled flight time, no later than 15 minutes past your reservation time to allow for check in. To streamline your check in, complete your Flight Waiver online prior to arrival.

The iFLY experience lasts approximately an hour and 45 minutes in total. This will cover your check-in time, the training session, your flight time, and time after your flight to remove gear and look at photos and videos if interested.

Please wear well-fitting, lace-up sneakers, or running shoes. Other shoes are not suitable. Wear casual clothes, preferably pants and a shirt without a collar. You won’t have to change out of these clothes—you'll put your flight suit on over your street clothes. Individuals with long hair should wear it braided and in a low bun.

Yes. You should remove any items that might flap around or become loose, such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings, and hair accessories. In addition, you should remove everything from your pockets. We do have lockers for your use, but we recommend that you leave anything valuable at home as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen property.

The instructors are trained to grasp the handles of your flight suit should you need spotting.

We generally fly several people in each session. Your friends and family will be part of the same group, however you will fly one at a time in the flight chamber one-on-one with your instructor. Once you have gained more flight experience then you will be able to fly with others of the same skill level in the tunnel. If someone chooses to come to watch, they are welcome to accompany you through your experience and can watch from the observation area.

Yes, feel free to eat before your scheduled flight session. You won’t get any feeling of motion sickness, nausea, or dropping feeling in your stomach.

With the purchase of the High Flight, guests are able to fly higher and faster with their instructor than they would fly on their own. The high flight occurs during the last 15-20 seconds of the guest’s final flight. High flights may not be available to guests that are over 260 lbs, or to guest with certain restrictions.

All first-time flyers are required to take the training class. You’ll get a lot of important and helpful information as well as some pre-flight practice of your flying position. If you’ve flown with us once within the last three months, you don’t have to do the training session again and can book a flight as a Return Flyer.

Only iFLY Paramus has a height restriction! To fly at our Paramus location, flyers must be at least 40” tall.

My son and I did the basic option of 2 flights each for $80 each. Then we added 6 return flights (split between the two of us) for $90. Then we added 2 high flights each ($10 each for a total of $40). Last we added the video option for $8 each. All of this added up to $340 for the two of us doing 5 flights each, with 2 high flights, and a video.

When you are finished flying, you complete the instructions to receive your video.

I've seen people be completely stable on their own in as little as 5 minutes and I've seen people with over an hour of time time still unable to control their movement. The difference is not in natural ability or skill, but rather in ones ability not to move around. It isn't a natural feeling for the human body to be in free-fall, so the natural reaction is to flail your arms and legs about in an attempt to gain stability. Doing this in a wind tunnel has the opposite effect. It gains instability. So the people who learn to fly by themselves quickly are the ones who can stay still while the people who take a long time to fly by themselves are the ones who can't stop themselves from flailing about. It's really that simple: just don't move. Your instructor will make sure that you have the proper body position for you to stay stable in the wind. All you need to do is hold that body position and fight the natural urge to flail your arms and legs about.

Minimum age is 3, over 260 pounds you have to contact iFLY prior to your flight. Max weight is 300 pounds. The wind speed in the tunnel is variable to fit all ages and sizes.
