We attended a wedding. It was beautiful. The historic of the building is out of this world. Food was impeccable

Went here for a wedding. The Castle is lovely and has a ton of character. The gardens were lovely as were the people running the event.

Had a blast here! It is absolutely beautiful and there so much to learn and explore. We stayed in the Casablanca room and it was beautiful lived having a real king size bed to sleep in and a little kitchen nook to hang out. The view was awesome and staff was super friendly!

Stunning. Absolutely beautiful venue. If the rentals were 8 or 10 hours like most other venues, would be perfect. Love all the space including outdoor, garden and the photo op st the dock.

Is This Castle haunted
Yes and no. It is called The Thornwood Castle, but it is the place in which the movie Rose Red was filmed.
They're actually closed for Christmas day.
No. I couldn't sleep the first night, and though it was a little creepy, no hauntings
Yes. At least for events. We went to a wedding there yesterday and they allowed our dog, including inside.
10 rooms
I suggest looking on website or contact them directly
No, they are open only for room/event rentals. I also don't think they serve breakfast...
The rates are per night, they do not offer monthly rates.
Prices range from $300 to $550 dollars a night according to their website.
Hello David, Parts of the Castle were taken from 14th century buildings in Europe and shipped to Washington by Chester Thorne. These pieces were assembled in his home which became Thornewood Castle in 1911. You are correct, this building has not been here for 500 years but pieces of it are that old. The home itself has been here for almost 110 years. Hope that information is helpful!
Mon-fri is the best. Weekends are busy. Let them know what you intend to do.
Their website has all the info, but it has been there for about 100 years and was in Wales for about 400(?) years before that.
