People here are extremely friendly and are here to get into fitness. Staff is always ready to help when needed. There are anmeites such as a hot tub, suana, swimming pool, plus three weight room areas, and cardio equipment. Signing up for a membership is easy to do online/ in person.

I think I'm going to like it here! There's plenty of things for me to do with my limitations and I like that. Took a tour today 5-5- 2022 I didn't realize how big the place was! WOW!! Stopped in today see what low impact chair exercises they had to offer. Everyone was nice and helpful. The place was very clean. 3-16-2022

Love this YMCA!! The staff are so friendly, and helpful. We love the gymnastics class our daughter (almost 2) takes here. Originally came just for my daughter to sign up to be able to take gymnastics and swimming classes, but we knew immediately that this place would be fun for the whole family. Happy that they have a room as well for kids to play in safely while parents work out in the same room next to the kids area. Or like the idea of being able to take my daughter to child watch and be watched while we get to work out. Definitely recommend this YMCA for the whole family!

An outstanding place for the whole family to get some good exercise. Very kid friendly and the staff are so kind and wonderful. The pools are great, but they are so busy with classes so it's best to pick the right time if you want to swim. The free weights area is only open to children who are 15 years or older, but younger children can take a 1-hour orientation class to gain access to the weight machines and cardio equipment. Yes they are offering swimming lessons and arobics , you can call and set a time or go in and do it or even online.
I believe they will tell you that you needed to suspend your membership before your surgery and then reestablish it after recovery. That makes the most sense to me.
All three of our Tacoma area community centers have warm water pools. The temperature of our pools is: Lakewood Family YMCA: 87-88 degrees Morgan Family YMCA: lap pool 82-83 degrees, recreational pool 86-87 degrees Tacoma Center YMCA: 82.5 degrees
Hi Paul - Registration is open now through November 20 for youth, teen, and adult swim lessons. Learn more and register today at ymcapkc.org/youth.
It depends on if they have a parent present. I know my 10 year old can use much of the equipment and 16 year olds can use anything in the facility. They have classes available for younger children also. I know I have seen as young as 5, and they offer swim lessons for all ages.
Yes, by appointment only.
