We are renting a cabin through air Bnb in Towamensing Trails. The cabin is beautiful and our host is wonderful, however, we will not be back to visit this community. We went to the pool today because the lake is closed due to high amounts of E. coli. The staff are NOT friendly. They are continuously yelling at pool-goers for literally having fun. One thing after another, they’re yelling and rude. When you’re paying REALLY good money to stay in what seems to be a nice community, you expect to be treated with respect. Won’t be back. Definitely recommend renting a place not in a community like this.

Overall, really nice place to go and get away. The area mad small patches of trees and an abundance of wildlife. The area is quiet and great to walk around. It’s a neighborhood so there’s numerous stop signs and speed limits of 15-25 mph that everyone seems to follow. The area felt very safe and there were multiple times police officers were driving through the area. There’s a pool and a lake in the community, both are which small. We visited the beach and it was fairly crowded but enjoyable. The pool was absolutely freezing and must have not been heated. You also had to bring chairs to the pool which was not specified in the vacation rental agreement (but not a big deal). The one strange thing was the last day we were at the beach a thunderstorm was coming in. Everyone was still in the water and playing. There was a lifeguard on duty but she didn’t evacuate anyone out of the water when it started thundering and lightning. It seemed like she just wasn’t paying attention at all.

My family and I have been coming up here since 1988 when my dad first bought the lot and started building the house. Our street then had about 5 houses on it. Now our street has about 18. Although I feel that the houses are too close to each other now with not that much privacy, I will say, my neighbors are very friendly. Everybody says hello as they walk, drive or ride their golf carts on by. And for that reason is why I moved here... Honest to god....it's like freakin Disney World...well without the rides and you don't have crazy characters hopping and skipping around you singing "zippididoodazippidi aye" You do have a kinda crazy but funny haa haa not funny like a clown character like me running and chasing my goofy never listen to a word I say dogs around the neighborhood because somehow, never fails.... They escape the baby gate. Sorry off subject.... Anyway... This community is 1 in a million. I love the beautiful scenery. I love how there are seasons. My favorite is around middle of September when the leaves start changing. The colors are amazing. The overall atmosphere is breath taking. You should come and see for yourselves, just take it in, breath the fresh mountain air. I guarantee you will never wanna leave. ...
