The gentlemen who work here really watch for compliance! Thank you.

Took my trash yesterday. I went around 1p and there was not much traffic. The only negatives I have are that I wish they had longer hours and that the staff would help. My mother and I took our dish washer about a month ago. We are small women (only 5'2") and my mother is in her 70s. Staff would not help us get it out of the car. Took us some time, but we eventually got it out of the vehicle. If you see 2 women struggling, it would be nice if you would offer to help.

Easy, quick in and out. Was able to take all my wood scraps for a project and they had a section specifically for that. Glad to have this service nearby. Thanks, Knox County!

This is the best dump in town. I would take a dump here every day if I could.

Yes
1033 Elm St Knoxville TN. That is the address for the household hazardous waste in Knoxville which is probably where you need to take the propane tank.
No. If you want to get paid you need to contact a scrap metal company.
Yes
Yes they do
Yes
Yes they do.
Only discharged units...
Yes they do with some restrictions such as paint and carpet.
Yes with no oil or any other fluids
Yes in the brown bulky box
Yes, they had a pile of them when I was there last week.
Yes live trees they go next to the goodwill building
No yard debris. Metal , recycle, trash and construction debris. Earthworks end of pellissippi toward oak ride takes that for a fee.

No
No
Yes! They accept microwave ovens. I have one too so I called them.
Yes they do.
No, but another disposal center does. It is the Karns Covenience Center at 6930 Kansas Crossing Way in Knoxville.
They take stoves and washers and dryers in the metal pile so I think so
Convenience centers open at 8 a.m. but close at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m..
Yes, you can place those in with the Bulk items.
Yes, they go in with the Scrap Metal.
Yes, they go in with regular trash. If the television is a console or rear projection television, we strongly recommend taking them to the City's Transfer Station, located at 1033 Elm Street (just off Baxter Ave.). At the County facilities, you will need to lift the television over a 4 foot wall of the receiver box. Larger televisions such as console or rear projection are heavy and often too large for our equipment. There is a fee associated with using the Transfer Station, but you will be able to push large, heavy items off the vehicle instead of lifting.
Regular alkaline batteries, like D batteries, are safe to place in with your regular trash. If you'd like to recycle them, you can bring them to the UT Public Recycling Drop-off, located at 2121 Stephenson Drive, Dock 24.
We could take a few (2-3) wood pallets in the Bulky Items box. If you have more than that, you will need to take them to a Pallet Recycler or Green Waste facility. Pallet Recyclers: Knoxville Pallet Recyclers 865-637-6267 IFCO Systems, Pallet Division 865-522-5456
Yes
At the baxter ave location not the dutchtown one
No it does not you have to take brush to the Karns location
Pretty much everything. Metal equipment, plastics, normal trash. Haven't tried hazardous chemicals or tires.
Old carpet and such is considered bulk construction debris. It goes in the second dumpster as you round the corner. Only restriction us the quantity or day. Only accept about a pickup truck load on vehicle per day.
I know used oil us accepted but I think old gas has to be taken to Baxter Ave. at the Knoxville City recycle center.
Yes, you may bring up to one pick up truck bed full of household recycling and garbage to Dutchtown. We only take small amounts of construction debris from a home.

The website for Knox county convenience centers says they accept mattresses and box springs. They accept one 5x8 pickup truck load per day. There are separate dumpsters for such "bulky wastes." The attendants inspect each load before residents unload.
Free, I dumped my couch and love seat there and it didn't cost anything.
