There aren't enough positive adjectives to express how wonderful the staff at Lavender Springs are! In the long time we went without being able to see Mom because of Covid protocols, we were able to sleep at night knowing she was being looked after in the most loving way. They treat her like family. We knew Mom wouldn't be lonely or scared or want for anything in our absence. There is nothing about Lavender that is "nursing homey". It's clean, the food is wonderful, the staff to resident ratio is low, the folks in the office are always easy to get in contact with. The fact that there is a dedicated doctor and nurse practitioner assigned to Mom (and who come to her and not the other way around!) is simply icing on the cake. We don't worry that Mom's health and well-being isn't their priority. Simply put, we don't worry about anything.

The Lavender Springs facility is warm and homey, and the staff are compassionate & capable--they've taken excellent care of our aging parents. Mom and Dad have been living there very happily since 2018, and we've been really pleased with the quality care they've received. Highly recommended for singles and couples contemplating the transition from independent living to a higher level of care.

Lavender Springs is wonderful!! They truly embrace their residents like new family members. The atmosphere is very cozy and feels just like you are at home, not in a "facility." It's a very difficult decision to make when you need to select care for a loved one, but choosing Lavender Springs made the transition easier than I expected. Highly recommended!!

What are the benefits of living in a retirement community?

Javier bastidas | Jun 3, 2022
Lavender Springs Assisted Living | Jun 3, 2022

Hey Javier, Thanks for reaching out! There are so many benefits to living in a Retirement Community or Assisted Living Community. Some being: Socialization - having people in the same season of life to visit with and share your life with. Especially in a community like Lavender Springs that encourages events and family involvement, we all get to know each other and it feels like one big beautiful home. Consistent Assistance - In Assisted Living Type B Licensing we provide 24/7 staff always ready to assist. This can be amazing for residents that might need an extra hand when getting up in the middle of the night, or residents that need greater assistance consistently. Meals and House keeping - We provide all meals, house keeping, and laundry service. Typically doing house work and meal preparation becomes more difficult as we age so having those things taken care of really takes the burden off the resident.

How can I afford elder care facilities for my parents?

Aldo Pilmoor | May 4, 2022
Lavender Springs Assisted Living | May 4, 2022

Hi Aldo, that is a great question. We see many ways of paying for long term care. often see residents with long term care insurance policies, we see the adult children divide the cost amongst themselves, we see residents sell or rent their homes for access to those funds, and we also see residents gain access to VA benefits.

What is the difference between assisted living and nursing home care?

Marsha Ball | May 4, 2022
Lavender Springs Assisted Living | May 4, 2022

Hey Marsha! Thanks for reaching out. There are quite a few differences between skilled nursing care and assisted living. Licensing type being one of them. Skilled nursing typically requires CNA assistance and a nurse in the building at all times. They can provide wound care and care for very high needs, skilled nursing is more of a medical environment. Residents in nursing homes typically require frequent nursing care. Assisted Living isn’t as high level of care as skilled nursing, and offers caregiver assistance. At lavender springs we do have a nurse on call 24/7 and have caregivers 24/7, but our residents need that assistance without needing the extra medical care that skilled nursing provides. Ratio of resident to staff member is much smaller in most assisted living environments as well, so if someone doesn’t need frequent nursing care then assisted living usually is the better option because overall care and environment typically fit their needs much better.
