It's unfortunate there are no other gyms in the local area. Jersey Strong hasn't updated the equipment in this gym in 30 years!! The Roma family could care less about the customer experience! I have reached out to them on Facebook and Linkedin with no response. Can't wait for the new gym to open on RT 35. I will make sure to let all members know about it once it opens. Jersey Strong is only Strong when there is no competition!

I wish I had read more reviews before signing up. Like someone else posted, their rating on Better Business Bureau is a 1.3/5 with 30 reviews and 160 complaints in the last 3 years….160!!! The positive reviews here come from people who like the gym facility or the trainers, but read the negative reviews about how they deal with memberships. The worst experience I’ve ever had with a gym. Do not sign up unless you know for a fact that you’ll stay a member for at least a year. They have a $100 cancellation fee if you cancel earlier than that. If they tell you “don’t worry about that fee, management will waive it if you cancel earlier”, don’t believe them. I told them I wasn’t sure if I could commit to a year and that’s what they told me. When I tried to cancel- “sorry for the confusion but our written terms say differently.” There was no confusion; they told me one thing and did another. Shady place. Stay away.

Horrible management. Lied about the terms of a free trial, made promises they didn’t keep and then stiffed me with the bill. Beware.

My trainer Ritchie is a perfect fit for me, he knows exactly when to push me and encourage me to go that extra rep. He switches up the weights and the placement to work different muscle. After each session I'm exhausted, sore the next day but its a good sore. I leave feeling good, and with a smile knowing I met the goals for that day!
