I took in a pigeon that didn't want to or couldn't fly. I called firsthand and someone reached out to me within hours. I drove to the place and they took in the bird. The place is clean and very nice people, loving , compassionate, and really want to help . I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

This rescue center has always been so helpful!! I appreciate everything they do and all the information they provide. The staff is helpful and informative. They return calls promptly and are compassionate about what they do. Wonderful organization! Thank you!

Took a little squirrel in it was not able to use its back legs to climb. Waiting to hear how it’s doing.

WRR help birds but it releases all of it's animals into the wild once they are fully rehabilitated. I would reach out to San Antonio Animals Alive for pet adoption
They will take them, just call them. I found a baby opossum in our yard about a month ago&I took it to them.
They are a 24/7 rescue and depend on the volunteers to help save wildlife. Maria is correct please call and they will answer any questions you may have. Thank You for wanting to volunteer.
Have you called them? They can probably help with the deer..
More then likely no one will do anything about it though I know it would bother me too but getting someone to do something is almost impossible ,I couldn't even get the city or any of the agency's to take in 5 dogs someone dumped an u would think they would want to help them all they were worried about is if you can pay the 150 per animal to pick them up even though your not the owner ,people dump them because if they leave them outside the humane society animal shelter they will put charges against u so it's a screwed up system.but these people here are awsome I've taken them animals that are hurt but they only take in wildlife so if there's a hurt bird you can take it to them, they are not the city services this is a volunteer based wildlife rescue ...but your not likely gonna get anyone to do anything ...it's sad but true..hope this gives you a little more info .and these people don't do anything but rehab hurt animals taken to them you would need to call your game warden to make rep
Yes
This is where u take orphaned or hurt animals to be rehabilitated they dont adopt or give animals to the public there released into the wild
Hi, yes kids can volunteer, minimum age is 12 and must be accompanied by a legal guardian. They accept donations and are always in need of volunteers. As a volunteer you will have duties ranging from office work, socializing animals, cleaning , laundry, etc. They also have events where volunteers are needed, release of birds, transporting to their facility in Kendalia,Tx. Hope this is helpful, you can fill out volunteer application on their website, www.widlife-rescue.org
Sometimes they take feral cats in so I would call and ask if they would take them. Most shelters will not help you unless you pay a "owner surrender" or if it is a certain day. Your best bet is to call ACS and ask them to come pick them up.
Best thing to do is to call them and leave them a voicemail or email them on the website
It is our opportunity to do something for the animals they are divine creation, let's help Humanity protect and feed them
No, because of Covid and to try to keep interactions with the wild animals to a minimum.
You can call them and ask, but I don't think they see pets. Wouldn't hurt to try. They may be able to refer you if they don't do it
Best to call you make sure
Call first but I'm sure they could put it to use!! They're on Basse Rd 😁
It's best to call them directly to ask
There is no charge but you usually just leave the animal with them. They release the animal.
call their main office and they can connect you with a rescue or contact. I worry some may capture and kill, so just check that if you choose to hire.
Adults can be safely released anywhere there are already ducks especially if there are geese there also. Geese act as watchdogs for ducks. Ducklings probably need to go to a wildlife sanctuary
They highly encourage you to take domestic animals to Humane Society or other shelters but will take some as a last resort. These people really care. So impressed. (According to information given while on a school tour.)
You'll have to check their website or call them directly. I don't think they reply to these questions posted on Google
When we brought in our orphaned squirrel babies, they told us that they would only take them if they were orphaned and if we knew for a fact that there was no mother to care for them. They try to keep the babies with their parents if possible.
I agree with Gina. They may perhaps tell you to help her across the street but leave her in her own environment, unless she's injured.
You'll have to take it to them. Located at Blanco and Basse
No public tours, but, yes, Basse location has merchandise.
If you put grass back over the nest and they are not injured the mother will most likely come back and get them after dark.
Wildlife Rescue will rehabilitate native animals such as a squirrel and release him or her when he is assessed and ready to live in the wild again. If you have found a baby squirrel washed out of her nest as a result of the recent storms, please call the hotline at 830 336 2725 for guidance.
Call and find out. Tell them who you are, and when you brought it the racoon.
They have volunteers that they send out or you can drop it off.
You can call ACS I believe and they'll pick him up if you have him contained
I think there are products you can purchase to spread on things you don’t want chewed. It tastes bad and deters them chewing. Also, be sure not to provide incentives such as bird feeders.
He's just been looking down like he doesn't feel good and not eating as much. He started to perk up and was playing and eating, but he is acting like he's not well.
Rap it up in a plastic bag and put it in your garbage can.
Yes, they will do their best to help him.
For sho
You can go drop it off at their Basse Rd location tomorrow morning. I believe they start receiving at 8:30am.
They are very responsive, so they should be able to help you coordinate getting the baby bird over to them. Just give them a call or email with all your contact info.
I think so, but I would give them a call to make sure. ☺
You can call the game warden
They should...just call before you go to make sure.
Call the Widlife Rehabilitators at 432-425-3533. Or try A to Z Veterinary Clinic and Animal Rehabilitation at 432-520-3070.
Yes, call the Wildlife rescue center phone number, 1-830-336-2725.
Liz, i do not work for them, but i believe they might usually it is mammals. I would try forever pets, it is a pet store on basse and San Pedro.. i take it to be a red ear slider.
Call and ask
Yes, good luck!!!
Is it injured? No? Put it back where you got it from. Yes? Take it in during normal business hours ... Leave a donation if you can.
Pets are a lifetime responsibility ... Turtles even longer! Sylvester Stallone still has the baby 🐢 turtles from the Rocky movies ... Understands they might out live him!! Wildlife rescue and Rehabilitation is not a place to surrender a pet. 😪 Join a Facebook group for 🐢 turtle lovers and see if you can find it a suitable home. DO NOT dump it somewhere .... It's not from here and will mostly likely die a terrible and cruel death. 😪
I have kittens that need homes for free pls help!! Lainakate@yahoo
Please call the office.
I don't work there. But i have been their.. i know they take squirrels i don't know about rats but worth a try.
They will as long as it's on a fetching! Which means is super naked and nowhere ready to fly basically. This time of year baby birds are being kicked out of the nests by their parents, and while they still look young they are most likely going to survive on their own. We found one that was a fetching they wouldn't take and then about a year later they took a teeny tiny one we found because it was too young. Good luck!
Please call them directly.
All wildlife is returned back to their natural habitat unless severely injured in which case the go to a rehabilitation center to stay.
Give them a call and let them know what happened. See what they suggest.
Animal Control Services is NOT A NO KILL shelter. Humane Society, Animal Defense League or google up a local rescue group but verify them. Not all are what they appear. Good luck.
They do education, yes. Please give them a call. Thanks for caring.
Do the have reptiles to work with
