I lived at The Avenues for 4 years. During that time it went thru 4 management companies..with each firm doing a poorer job than the previous. My roommate and I moved out in June and STILL have not received our security deposit. They have given us every excuse as to why but at the end of the day they are breaking SC law. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and and proceeding with legal action.

Such an amazing place to live! It's super quiet, safe & everyone is very friendly. I am moving out of state or else I would be renewing my lease! The 1-BR apartments are so spacious and they have a lot of room for storage. The screened in porch is HUGE - especially with the bugs! You're able to get use out of it for most of the year! Super close to downtown, the airport, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores etc. The property is gorgeous and so well kept! The property management does a great job keeping everyone informed as well as hosting events for the residents. Highly suggest Avenues of West Ashley!

Very disappointed with the condition of our 1 bedroom apartment upon move in. Not only does it reek of stale cigarette smoke, it was obviously not fully cleaned or taken care of like they said it was. We found a cigarette butt on the floor in the bedroom. There are multiple cobwebs on corners of the kitchen walls, hair all over the washer/dryer. The molding above the kitchen cabinets were clearly never finished, so they awkwardly sit mismatched against each other. The tiling when you first walk in the apartment is broken and has huge pieces missing from it (apparently they won’t fix this). The bathroom vinyl flooring has spacing missing in between each piece. The bathroom sink has black drops all over it as if someone washed their dirty hands there and never cleaned it out. The dishwasher is disgusting on the inside with yellow orange splatter everywhere. We have been here for a year now. The best part of this apartment complex is how attentive and responsive the maintenance crew is. They fix your request within the same day to 2 days. Additionally, our neighbors are very respectful and we never have any noise complaints. The location is hard to beat. For those few reasons, we decided to renew another year. Unfortunately our original concerns about the tile flooring, unclean carpet, ect were never appropriately addressed. Recently we have found black mold in 3 out of 4 vents throughout our apartment. I am praying they will address this serious issue quickly and appropriately.
