What a magical place. I loved exploring here with my best friend. We hiked all the way to the top of the mountain, be aware of those stairs from hell. It was definitely leg day.

I highly recommend stopping in at the Visitors Center if you visit Dahlonega. They have a ton of brochures and menus for pretty much every restaurant on the square, which was very helpful. It is clean and air conditioned and a nice place to make a plan about to see and do in the area. They also have a selection local items available for purchase. The employees were super helpful and friendly when we were there. They were able to answer all our questions about the local restaurants and attractions and were very kind. There are public restrooms located inside the hallway beside the Visitors Center. They were clean and well stocked and easily accessible. They even stay open beyond the time the regular Visitors Center has closed. This is very helpful, as many towns sadly do not offer this simple amenity.

Nice visitor center. They have a lot of brochures and infor. The lady working was very friendly and gave us a few places we must stop. The lavender hand sanitizer they sell is wonderful and from the local lavender fields.
