There are different amounts of sand. The larger amount is supposed to mean a better chance at gold flakes. I think we paid like 45 ish for a bag. One pan of sifting is in the 8 neighborhood. Call and ask for group rates😎

Hi, Thanks for asking. We do allow dogs only if they remain on a leash at all times, people friendly, and pet friendly at the panning area. Dogs are not permitted in the gift shop. So you leave your dog in the car while you purchase your admission tickets then we will instruct you how to get to the panning area with your dog. I do want to stress that it does have to be people and other pet friendly. If this does not apply to your dog then we ask that you don’t bring it. We hope to see you soon! Thanks, Tammy

The gift shop is handicap accessible. That is also where the restroom facilities are in the gift shop. To get to the panning area you can purchase the tickets in the gift shop then drive around to the panning area and unload and the area is flat level ground. Thanks, Tammy

You never know, you might get a great batch of paydirt or you might not. You'll walk away with something either way. This is more of a family fun activity than a lotto ticket type deal. Ask about the mining associations around the area if you are looking to find a notable amount of gold.

We have been open to the pubic since 1969. We dig the rock out of the Mine and crush it so you can get the gold out of it. We sell it by the pan, bucket and by the tractor scoop.

We can take a look at your rocks and see if there is gold in them. We do have a rock crusher you can use if your rock is 3” and smaller. It is $20.00 to run a 5 gallon of rocks through it. Give us a call or bring them on by.

They have water tables set up rather than using a creek. It filters pretty well so you won't be stuck panning in silty water.

The $9 is to get into the area but you have to buy your Pay Dirt, and that can be between $15 to $365. You can buy a front end loader of dirt and it would probably take a couple of hours to do. There is always someone there to assist you. You do get gold for the amount that you pay.
