We’re to start well first off the delivery was 2 months longer then they said and when it arrived it did not match the order. The caliber and build is good and the clamping system looks good. However it you need the product in a timely manner, look elsewhere.

My still arrived this week. I wanted quality, something that would last and could be passed down . The craftsmanship and quality is top notch. Customer service is top notch. Well worth the wait.

You guys should think about building worms that you can put inside a barrel or a keg. It looks good but I don’t think the whole thneeds mad of copper. Just a thought

Questions & Answers

Can I buy just a 4" triclamp still head only ?

Jay Elder | Nov 2, 2019

Yes you can. All of our tri clamp stills actually use a 6" though. We can certainly build you a 4" though. Just call or email and we will get you squared away. Thanks!

Do any of the copper lines or connectors come with the 5 gal.stills?

Steve Byrd | Nov 2, 2018

Everything comes plumbed. You just need a few feet of copper tubing and a few compression fittings to connect everything. Everything needed can be found at your local hardware store in the plumbing aisle.

I just purchased and received a 30 Gal still from you and it is very nice, Thank you. I also bought a burner and it says it's for propane only. I need natural gas. Can I convert it to natural gas? looks like the orrfice is on the end of the hose

Stan Holmes | Nov 1, 2021
North Georgia Still Company | Nov 1, 2021

Unfortunately I can't give you a definitive answer to this as we have never done it. That said I believe it could be done. If you Google "convert propane burner to natural gas", there are a few things that pop up that should be beneficial. Let us know how it turns out. Thanks!

I purchased the 20 gal set up and the 200000 btu burner. And I am wondering about how high to turn the burner up. I have it set up the same as the pictures on the blocks with the plate.

James Foreman | Nov 1, 2021
North Georgia Still Company | Nov 1, 2021

Hey James! So it will depend a little based on how thick the heat shield is. For best results you don't want a super thick plate. Generally you want something that can be bent by hand. That said, You'll want a medium setting to slowly bring the pot to temperature. Starting with an ambient temperature of 70 degrees fahrenheit it should take about 1-1.5 hours to begin producing. Hope this helps!🍻

how long should it take to run a 5 gallon wash

CVEnder PigGaming | Nov 2, 2019
North Georgia Still Company | Nov 2, 2019

It all depends on the size of your burner. Generally anywhere between 4 to 6 hours.

How much mash can you run in your 20 gal pot with proper head space? Is the 3gal thumper bgeal enough for a 20 gal pot?

Terry White | Nov 2, 2019
North Georgia Still Company | Nov 2, 2019

20 gallons is to the bottom of the vapor cone and is designed to be run with a max of 20 gallons. 3 gallon thumper is more than adequate. You can upgrade to a larger thumper as well though.

I bought a 5 gal. copper still from you. I was wondering how high up from the bottom of the pot I should mount the thermometer? Do you have instructions on how to completely set up this system?

Bill Parlon | Nov 2, 2019
North Georgia Still Company | Nov 2, 2019

Howdy! All of our stills come standard with the thermometer port built in already, so you would thread it into the already existing port. Thanks!
