We shop at this location at least every other day, probably closer to everyday. We love this Publix but lately we're starting to reconsider. We order Pub Subs often and usually it's pretty good. Well lately it's hit or miss and tonight was definitely a miss. I understand, there's a worker shortage etc but if you have the employees please properly train them. When we arrived at 6:30 there were 2 gentlemen in front of us who had already ordered and their 2 subs were being prepared as we watched the line of people grow. The 2 in front of us sandwiches were started and were placed in the oven to toast. While toasting, the young man working on the order *he was the ONLY one making subs the other 2 were working on other things) walked around aimlessly when he could've taken another order! I just couldn't believe it! It ended up taking 45 minutes for us to get our 2 chix finger sandwiches! 45 minutes!!! The young man moved so slow it was scary. To watch him make the subs was brutally painful but I couldn't help but feel bad. These people need proper training! It's not rocket science but if it's his first job working in food, he needs to be properly trained! He was too busy worrying about how the sub looked than anything else. This isn't just him either! We've had a ton of trouble getting a proper order fulfilled for a while now. I swear next time I'll jump behind the counter and train your people myself! I could manage circles around whoever is managing now! Too bad the money wouldn't be good enough or I might think about applying....
