I've had several wonderful experiences with Dr. Connie. She has really helped me with several challenges and now I feel more balanced. I also had to do some work on me-my diet, exercise, and preventative measures. Dr. Connie blessed me with her knowledge, expertise and excitement. As a result, I have referred several of my family members and my colleagues to her. Thank you, Dr. Connie.

I was so excited to find this Doctor and practice near me! She came recommended by Suzanne Somers, who I have learned so much from! Unfortunately, after reading the reviews it sounds just like my previous experience with other functional doctors ....a ton of money spent and no real help.πŸ˜’ Whyyyyy is finding a good functional doctor SO freaking hard and expensive?!?!

I am a patient who has been on hormone treatment for approximately 5 years. I contacted Wellness By Design because my current doctor retired. My first appointment involved collecting blood for lab work. I made another appointment for the following week to discuss the results of the lab work. When I met with the doctor, I was told I needed additional lab work to test for B12, thyroid, etc. which meant they would have to collect more blood. I asked the doctor why they did not do the blood testing with the initial blood draw and was told that it was normal protocol. In addition, the doctor did not even discuss the results of the initial blood work and sent me to the waiting room to wait on another blood draw. This made no sense to me as they could have performed all the testing during the first blood draw and it meant that I would have to pay another $179 for blood work, which would be a total $358 for both tests. So, in conclusion, I basically made an initial appointment for a blood draw and then was told I needed another blood draw. This was a total waste of time and money!

Be Very Apprehensive on the promises Wellness By Design makes about what all stem cells can do !!! Dr. Connie is definitely a smooth talker that will be claiming stem cells are the Greatest Breakthrough In Medicine, may be good for Minor health issues & injuries But No More !!! I’ve got Stage 4 kidney disease & COPD, which she said they have had β€œ just Amazing Positive Results Curing”, which did Absolutely Nothing For Me except put me on Dialyis three months later & COPD has gotten worse !!! Potential Patients BeWare of Dr. Connie and her Amazing Stem Cells and Promises !!! I Really Hope you don’t let her get your Hopes Up & leave you with empty pockets !!! Howard Coates

Questions & Answers

Does insurance pay for any of this? , if not what is cost?

My insurance pays only for labwork. Well worth the out-of-pocket expenses. Off all but one prescription medication!

Is Wellness by Design formally HRC medical center or similar to this?

I agree. It is much better. I went to HRC and Wellness is definitely superior. I was there this week and greeted by Meda, (oh, I hope I spelled it correctly) a sweet young lady behind the counter. Definitely a keeper. Dr. Connie was incredible, as usual. I am always amazed by her positively and incredible knowledge. While she has been a board certified physician for what, 37 years?, she isn't a pill pushing doctor and she really cares about you and your return to a healthy lifestyle.

Right now they are doing free blood test to see what your hormone ranges are and it will go from there.

If insurance doesn't paid for a certain percent do you have to pay up front or can you do payments and have it debited out of you account each month in till the bill is paid?

I went there @ 5 yrs ago and insurance covered the lab work but the actual items I needed was very expensive and at that time they only accepted cash, cc, or debit card. Maybe they've changed their pymt plan to include monthly pymts, auto draft. Would like to know myself, may go back now.
