The staff are generally friendly and knowledgeable. They know how to handle even very complex registration tasks professionally and efficiently.
Wait times can be long.
Tip: consider looking into what documents to have with you before leaving your house. You waste your time, their time, and the time of everyone waiting in line when you don’t have your ID or proof of insurance. Don’t get loud and angry at the person working there because you can’t get your act together. BE NICE and they’ll be nice to you & you’ll get what you need.

Hey DMV, your signs for 20 minute parking only. Can you be held accountable and turn basic licensing tasks taking 2 hours? If your expectation is your customers can’t park for more than 20 minutes, then perhaps you should figure out how to turn quicker.

Does the Woodbury Licensing center issue new/replacement license plates in-person/at the counter (standard plates)?
I need to get new plates for one of my cars, after I complete the transfer of my specialty plates to another car.
01/23/2011: Monday - Friday 08:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., currently no Saturday hours. Appointments being made now for March 1+, same goes for Stillwater and Forest Lake License Center locations.
I received my renewed license and I do not see on my updated renewed license that it is not either a Enhanced or Read ID. What should I do to have this rectified???? KHL

Bring in your social security card, birth certificate, any name changes, tax return, and bank statement. Should be able to update to real id or enhanced with that.
I need to renew tab and plan to use drop box.
1. Is drop box available only during business hours ?

Make an appointment at the location you would like for driving exam. I believe you have to call most places to make an appointment, I recommend to call right when they open.

If the vehicle is in her name you can by her writing a letter of permission. She must state her name giving you permission for that specific vehicle. Also must have insurance info

If you are the owner of the vehicle, you'll need to bring your license and insurance card. If you're not the owner, you'll need the owner to fill out a form for you.

They should be open till 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. They are open till 6:00 pm on Monday and Wednesday.

I was there at the end of june, midmorning on a Saturday for a renewal and it was about 15 minutes start to finish. I don't know if that was a fluke, but it was literally longer to drive there and back.
