Just celebrated my sweet guys 7th birthday. I adopted him at Carroll County Animal Shelter back in December 2015. He’s been happily residing with us in Florida the last 4 years. He’s the best guy! Reginald aka Reggie 🐈 I move a LOT, and he has been everywhere with me 💜 He has lived in Pensacola Beach and now we are living in Panama City Beach. He really is living his best life! He loves going outside to catch lizards and frogs. Then afterwards he enjoys coming inside and curling up in bed. He is potty trained to the max. He will wake me up dead out of my sleep to take him outside to do his duties. No litter box here 😉 he’s THAT smart. Thanks Carroll County. ♥️

From the moment I walked in, one of the staff was extremely rude. I came in, and she (shorter woman with glasses and short hair) immediately said I need to put my phone in my car, understandable policy so I complied. I came right back in and she then directed me to the cat area. Once I started to walk there she stopped me and said “You can’t wear those.” I assumed she was referring to my keys since they had a metal defense attachment on them (being a woman I just carry them around in case) but no, she was referring to my pants. “You can’t wear tight-fitting pants. We have inmates working here right now.” I stood there and was thinking to myself “Why the hell cant I wear these pants? I don’t care if there are inmates, if they’re working here and in public then they shouldn’t be a threat to me.” I felt extremely embarrassed for being called out like that for just wearing yoga pants. Regardless of her incredibly inappropriate and stupid remark, I was there to find a cat to take home since mine passed away four months ago. I went back to my car AGAIN, and put on my work pant scrubs over my yoga pants. I left without adopting because I then felt super uncomfortable just being there with inmates working around me. Never would have made me uncomfortable if she hadn’t made the statement about the inmates, leaving me to question the process and selection of what inmates are allowed to work there. It’s so sad that staff there seem to be so rude and uncaring given the fact that they’re working to “help” homeless pets. If anyone does adopt from there, I hope you don’t have the bad experience I had and that you go home with an amazing pet. EDIT/RESPONSE TO OWNER: Yoga pants, especially the yoga pants I was wearing, was not “immodest” and only would be considered as such by anyone who unreasonably sexualizes someone wearing something as normal as yoga pants. They were not see-through, they didn’t have any profanity or obscene images on them. So the mention of the “immodest” clothing policy you guys have is presumptuous of the event that took place and shouldn’t have been included in a genuine apology. This response from management warrants a lower rating from me.

We adopted a Kitty a week ago. The Kitty came with fleas and full of worms but the lady at the front office told us that all the animals came with flea, tick and worms treatment. Now I'm having to remove all the rugs from my house because I received an email from the Maddie's pet assistant saying that if the cat walked through the rugs the worms stay on them and they are very difficult to remove. The cleaning products are not effective in killing the worms. The front office/ employees should stop being rude and be more professional. Lack of education does not mean professionalism. Very disappointed.

Worst service ever. I called to make a report about a abandoned dog. They told me that they would send someone right away and no one ever showed up or even gave me a call back

There is some
From my knowledge, you can volunteer as a minor if accompanied by a guardian and once you're 18 you can volunteer by yourself.
What do they do with Pits or do they just not let anyone know they have any? Because I called and they said no they had no pits but went down there because of my daughter's persistence I went and low and behold there sugar was! Now that was years ago. So I'm thinking there more against them now.
Do u live over woodglen apartment stwelve 4 life if so she was picked up
You can check by going on Pet Finder.
Kennel Cough
If you surrender the dog to the animal shelter, it may be euthanized
I don't think they are
Yes all adoptions are $50
Ive always reported to the local police directly.
Our two dogs were $50 each. All you need is 50 bucks a warm home and a loving heart. The fifty bucks usually covers them being spayed or neutered and most if not all of their shots so it's definitely worth it. The love that they have given us is worth so much more.
IDK. I got my dog a month ago. He's a Doberman mix.
I would definitely take her (the dog) to the vet. It may be that she has worms or a touch of kennel sickness, but it requires a vet diagnosis.
What kind of dogs? The Carroll County Animal Shelter is filthy so I would definitley not recommend taking your babies there! We adopted our kitten from there a few months back and she had the worst diarrhea for almost 3 weeks! Theres some sort or disease floating around in that place! They dont clean as they should so theres feces everywhere...even where the animals sleep! Good luck finding homes for your babies!
Call animal control
Yes
Did you ever find a home?
I was told to mix wet dog food with water and feed them via syringe every four hours. It worked for the baby bird I found.
Microchip is included in the adoption fee
Yes
Not sure you can always call and ask.
Did you find a hom
Yes
There are bull dogs alot but not sure about boxer bull mixes. I would check the websight once a day. They are always getting new fur babies!
The shelter and animal control work together so to get the shelter to take an animal, they must either be brought in or animal control has to be called. I do not believe they come out for cats though, you'd have to call animal control to ask directly. i think they can only take them if there is room open at the shelter.
They do volunteers. You can go in and fill out a form and then log your hours every time you go there.
It’s absolutely not ok, you should probably call an association that can help get that dog into a more caring home.
I'm not sure but,here's the number 770-214-3590
