When I first came to sober men’s living I was a little apprehensive but once I settled in and got to know the people that run it and the other residents I felt really comfortable there. I was able to build a network there and make a ton of great friends. Remember the staff are just people like you and me but they will do everything in their power to help you. If you come in with an open mind and the proper attitude it can be an awesome experience for you, I know it was for me.

I had a loved one who graduated from this program a few months ago. While if you are hard up for a place for you or your loved one to go, you can get better here - there are quite a few issues. The staff is stretched very thin, the managers of each house are required financially to have full time employment elsewhere (making it hard for them to ever truly get much involvement). I have been told a former clients car was stolen by another - and that those in charge did virtually nothing to help as well as ignored warnings signs from the perpetrator which could have prevented it. The amount of rides they offer even to work is virtually 0. Despite this, they are happy to tell you otherwise and accept as many clients as they can without vehicles. The owner and the director of the program are not involved unless it is about money. Even the secondary program director is stretched so thin he doesn’t have much time to help the guys. Lastly, this program exists only to service their IOP program. Once a client has finished said program (or their insurance quits covering) they will quickly be shown the door. Where they go from there is not SMLs concern. They are quick to send you on your way whether you’re ready for it or have a safe place to land. I understand these programs are a business - but this is no way to treat people who’s lives are on the line and were willing to seek help. I have been told by a friend in the areas recovery community that it used to be much better and that is has fallen in quality dramatically. I hope they are able to either improve to the former standard, or if not - do the right thing and shut it down.

Think twice before going here, I’ve dealt with one of the owners and he claims to care about people but he cares about one thing... $$ !!

This program is in a very nice neighborhood. Several houses. Off Wade Green Rd. And Shiloh Rd. Kennesaw
Hey Will. I'm not sure. My son graduated a year ago. He has almost 2 years sober now. I can't tell you how this program chande his life. It's expensive. Do you have insurance? Sometimes they have scholarships for entry. Call and talk to Ryan
