I had an issue with the billing department but they resolved it

I was there for 12 hours and watched some crazy stuff. Nurses just standing over a woman who fell off the chairs and was having some type of a seizure. And they did nothing for her. They claimed to have called my name and were going to cancel my care but I got a little upset and they continued their care, which was not much. The lady who took me to get my ct scan said she was about to cancel my scan because she thought I left. They had me out in the waiting room in the computer but had moved me back to a chair in the ER. I understand they are short staffed but it was not that busy!! Even the nurse who cared for me, let me down. She was suppose to relay a medication request to the doctor, but instead her shift ended and just left without checking in with the doctor or me! I will drive to Bedford or Charlottesville or Roanoke the next time I need an ER.

This was without a doubt the slowest hospital that I have ever been in during the 59 years of my life. If there was another hospital in Lynchburg Virginia that had an open ER I would definitely go there, but unfortunately there's not so I'm stuck with this one !! I would definitely NOT recommend this hospital to anyone.

I just received a bill in the mail from Centra that was incorrect (my insurance number had been mistyped) so I called about it and asked for it to be resent to my insurance. I was very nice about it because I know mistakes happen. I have no clue who I spoke to on the phone, but she was SO RUDE to me from the moment she answered the phone. I explained the situation to her about the typo and she just went silent. So after a few seconds went by, I spoke again to make sure there was no confusion because i did just say a lot....and she got a huge attitude with me and I heard her mumble"Jesus Christ" like I was being such a problem. She continued to have an attitude with me throughout the entire conversation. I never raised my voice, I just had a simple request and explained what happened. This happened on August 8th, 2022 around 1pm.
